Emergency dispatchers are ready to provide assistance in Sinhala, Tamil and English languages. When a member dials 1990, the caller ID instantly retrieves your personal profile, complete with your name and the names of registered family members, your home and work address, your preferred hospital, and any key medical information including allergies and major medical problems you provided during the registration process. If there is an emergency, while the details are being verified, the closest ambulances are identified by GPS and dispatched to the location. While the closest emergency units are responding, Falck s Emergency Medical Dispatchers are trained to provide life-saving First Aid instructions over the phone. In addition to emergency response, Falck s SLMC registered doctors are available to come to your home or office anytime day, night, and even on weekends and public holidays for urgent care, scheduled home health visits, and preventative health check-ups. Falck s doctors are fully equipped to treat urgent problems, provide diagnostic services and provide urgent medications as required. 5 Response Areas Emergency Response Falck is committed to being Sri Lanka s premier provider of out-of-hospital emergency services and has a step by step national expansion plan. Currently, Falck s emergency ground ambulance services are operational in the greater Colombo area. Within Colombo 1-15, Falck s goal is to ensure an emergency response unit is on the scene of all emergencies in fifteen minutes or less. Our ambulances and rapid response motorcycles crews are pre-positioned throughout the response area to ensure the fastest possible response day or night. Scheduled Home and Office Visits 24-hours a day, in the greater Colombo area, Falck offers urgent and scheduled home and office doctor visits. A Sri Lanka Medical Council registered doctor will provide diagnostic services, urgent care, and preventative health screening. 24-hour laboratory sample collection and home or office ECG testing is also available. Requests for an urgent care doctor are prioritized and the closest available doctor is sent to your location immediately. Non-urgent visits are and health screenings are scheduled in advance during two hour time spots. Hospital Transfers Falck provides both urgent and pre-scheduled island-wide hospital to hospital and hospital to home patient transfer services. Depending on the condition of the patient and recommendation of the hospital, Advanced Life Support and Basic Life Support ambulances are available. Air Medical Evacuation Falck's Air Medical Evacuation services are available anywhere in Sri Lanka. This ensures that no matter where you may be traveling in Sri Lanka we will have you covered. Air medical evacuation services are customized for your specific medical requirement and location. Falck s medical crews, trained specifically in air medical services have access to a variety of airplanes and helicopters with different capacities and ranges. Based on your requirement, our team will do the coordination, acquire the appropriate permissions, and then recommend you the best possible option and price quotation. Depending on the aircraft required, aircraft rental fees range from USD $500 to USD $2500 per flight hour. Advanced payment or payment guarantee is required for air medical responses. 6 Current Response Area Map With the positioning of our ambulances in strategic locations within our response area (demarcated in green), our objective is to respond to emergencies within Colombo 1 15 in 15 minutes from the time of the emergency call to our hot-line 1990, and within 30 minutes outside the Colombo city limits (within our response are).
