1 ANCHOR BAY COMMUNITY FOUNDATION SCHOLARSHIPS The Anchor Bay Community Foundation is proud to be able to offer a series of scholarships to students who intend to continue their studies in higher education. A short description of each scholarship follows. If application is made through the Anchor Bay High School Counseling Office, completed application and required supporting materials should be submitted to the Counseling Office. All other applications should be mailed to: Anchor Bay Community Foundation P.O. Box 88 New Baltimore MI The deadline for submission is the last Monday in April. Anchor Bay High School scholarship winners will be announced at the Senior Awards Ceremony held on in May. All others will be notified by mail. SCHOLARSHIPS OFFERED: Joseph P. ABELL Performing Arts Scholarship Created by friends and admirers of Anchor Bay Schools teacher Joe Abell to memorialize his contributions and encourage further study and participation in the performing arts. Audio, Video, and/or Photographic Portfolio BETTE DUNLAP CARROTHERS Vocal Music Scholarship - Awarded to an Anchor Bay High School graduating senior who intends to pursue further education in vocal music. Audition from Music Instructors STUART MacDONALD Business & Technology Scholarship - Awarded annually to a student who intends to pursue further education in the business or technical field. Requirements: Reside within the boundaries of Anchor Bay School District KEITH W. MARCOLA Medical Memorial Scholarship - Awarded to a high school senior who intends to pursue further education and a career in the medical field. and 3.00 GPA from Counselor and Two Teachers Student Essay

4 JUSTIN MELLO Law Enforcement/Criminal Justice Memorial Scholarship - Awarded to a high school senior who intends to pursue further education and a career in the field of Law Enforcement or Criminal Justice. Requirements: Resides within the boundaries of the Anchor Bay School District Student Essay MICHAEL OSADCHUK Memorial Scholarship - A scholarship awarded to an Anchor Bay High School graduating senior who intends to pursue further education. Application will be submitted to the Anchor Bay High School Counseling office and will be reviewed by the varsity tennis coaches. Requirements: ABHS Senior has earned (or will earn) a varsity letter in tennis Essay (1-page maximum) on how being on tennis team influenced his/her life GPA 2.5 or higher Transcript Two letters of Recommendation Letter of acceptance - college/university or accredited career/technical school Personal resume of school and community activities for grades 9-12 LOIS & DICK PIERSON Hard Hats & Tool Belts - A scholarship awarded to a graduating high school senior who intends to pursue further education in technical, mechanical or construction fields through college, technical, trade school or apprenticeship program who will require financial aid or assistance. RUZZIN Fine Arts Scholarship - A scholarship awarded annually to an Anchor Bay High School student who shows exceptional promise, and intends to pursue additional education in the field of Fine Arts. RUZZIN Science/Engineering Scholarship - A scholarship awarded annually to an Anchor Bay High School student who intends to pursue further education in the field of science and/or engineering. WAYNE AND JOAN WEBBER Scholarship A scholarship awarded to a graduating high school senior, who intends to pursue further education in civil engineering or medical profession. Applications will be submitted to the Anchor Bay Community Foundation for review and selection. Or college student with hometown residency in the greater Anchor Bay area from most recent completed semester Letter of Acceptance or Current GPA from College/University 3.0 GPA STEVE & GLORIA WHITTLESEY GENERAL BUSINESS STUDIES Scholarship - A scholarship awarded to a high school graduating senior who intends to pursue further education in any business field. & from Business Instructors Letter of Acceptance from college, university or business school
