1 1 July 2006 Crosspointe Village Voice President Vice President Secretary Treasurer Board of Directors Member At Large Architectural Landscape Committees Neighborhood Watch Newsletter Pools Jeff Gollin David Miranda Brad Constant Tom Barnes David Santucci David Miranda Jennifer Thomas Debbie Santucci David Miranda Barry Schrack THE OPINIONS AND/OR STATE- MENTS MADE IN THIS NEWSLET- TER MAY NOT NECESSARILY BE THE OPINION(S) OF THE INDIVID- UAL BOARD MEMBERS. Board Message: We hope everyone had a great Fourth of July. Termite Inspections. We can never be rid of those pesky termites, but with your help the battle will forge on. If you see any evidence of termites in or around your unit, please report it to Cardinal. And for the townhome and carport owners who have garden windows, if you notice any moisture or termite damage on the interior of your garden window, please report this also for a free inspection. Attics are another place that should be inspected also. Parking Permits. Be warned! Phoenix Patrol will be towing anyone found parked on the street without a parking permit or current visitor s pass. And they are photographing the vehicle s dash prior to towing if a permit or pass is not displayed. Some residents feel that just because they never park on the street by going directly into their carport or garage each time they enter Crosspointe, that a permit is not needed on the windshield. This is far from being true. We ve already had residents who left their vehicle for just a couple minutes on the street or behind their garage, who then came out only to find their vehicle gone. Towed away! Don t let this happen to you. Yard Sale. As I mentioned last month, we need volunteers for the Yard Sale Committee. Two people cannot work on this large event alone. We have about 2-1/2 months until Sept. 30, which is the date of the sale. If we don t get volunteers by the end of August, the Yard Sale could be cancelled. Don t let that happen. David Miranda, Yard Sale Chairman Letter from the Editor: The Newsletters for this entire year, and a few from last year, can all be read on the web. You can even be notified when the next Newsletter is posted online. Simply click on the highlighted link that s either on the home page of our website, or on the Newsletter page. The process for signing up is very easy, and of course, the Newsletter hits our webpage way before it gets mailed out to you. So sign up now. This is a short Newsletter for a change. I ll let you get back to enjoying your summer. Stay cool. C h e e r s, a n d happy reading. David Miranda, Newsletter Editor I can t let you get away yet! How many of you older homeowners remember the names that were given to our units by the builder, William Lyon? Some of you newer homeowners might not know this, but each of our eight Crosspointe floor plans have names. Take the quiz and see if you remembered correctly. The answers are on the bottom of the back page. What are their names? 1. One bedroom condo. 2. One bedroom with loft condo. 3. Two bedroom, 1-1/4 bath condo. 4. Two story condo. 5. Above the carport condo. 6. Two bedroom townhome. 7. Smaller three bedroom townhome. 8. Large three bedroom townhome with garden window.

6 Page 6 6 Crosspointe Village Security Disclaimer Although gated, Crosspointe Village is not a secured nor security community. Although we hope that the gates provide some deterrence to crime and to unauthorized access to the Association premises, there are no steps that the Association could take that would make our Association safe nor secure. For example, it is possible for someone to enter the property under false pretenses to commit crimes, for residents to commit crimes against their own neighbors, for guests of residents to commit crimes, and for employees to commit crimes. As a result, the Association is not and can never be free of crimes and we cannot guarantee your safety or security. Accordingly, you should NOT rely on the Association to protect you from loss or harm. Instead, you should provide for your own security by taking common sense precautions such as carrying insurance against loss; keeping your doors locked; refusing to open your door to strangers; asking workmen for identification; installing a security system, if you believe that such system would be a deterrent from unauthorized access to your home; locking your car; etc. Thank you.
