3 SIJ is a is a central scientific and interdisciplinary research institute of the Aachen University of Applied Sciences (AcUAS) with 65 employees in SIJ develops technical solutions and products according the market needs e.g. solar low-temperature systems and solar process-heat collectors as well as high temperature components for solar thermal power plants in close collaboration with the industry and research partners. In addition, components for sea-water desalination and demineralisation are developed in international projects.
