2 Main Drawer Module High-capacity, space-efficient design accommodates a variety of medications and supplies The Main Drawer Module is the most versatile medication dispensing module in the MedSelect Flex line. It can be configured with a combination of small, medium and large drawers, along with the option of single item access for small drawers. Each drawer can then be divided into compartments to accommodate a variety of medication doses and line items. At its maximum realistic capacity, the Main Drawer Module can store up to 400 unique medications. This module can also provide return/retrieve capabilities for refused or unused medications. 3 Compact Drawer Module Additional drawer storage with secure return capability in a space-saving footprint The Compact Drawer Module provides the perfect alternative when a full Drawer Module is not necessary. It requires minimal space in patient care areas and allows for dispensing of unit dose pouches, ampules, vials, cartridges, tablets, capsules, boxes and bulk bottles. Single item access drawers can be utilized for increased patient safety and reduced potential for errors. Removable drawer liners allow each drawer to be subdivided into an optimal configuration, accommodating multiple drugs. The Compact Drawer Module can operate as a stand-alone dispenser or in combination with any of the MedSelect Flex modules. 4 Tower Module High-capacity tower accommodates a variety of supplies and IVs The Tower Module improves management of intravenous, bulk and general hospital supplies by offering controlled access via the Display Terminal. Each tower is configured with four locking doors that can be operated independently or in tandem. It features both sliding and fixed shelves with solid bottoms that stop spills and reduce the likelihood of supplies tipping. The slide-out shelves can be easily divided into as many as 18 compartments. 5 Display Terminal User interface driven by clear, intuitive screens plus fast, secure access The Display Terminal houses the software necessary to operate the MedSelect Flex dispensing modules. The user-friendly interface is designed to allow a nurse to sign in, retrieve medications or supplies and sign out in less than 15 seconds. Each module connected to the Display Terminal communicates information back to the software. It is then communicated to the database server and other Hospital Information Systems. Using MedOrders software, only medications assigned to the patient profile are displayed for maximum patient safety. MedSupply software can be used in procedure-driven areas of the hospital so that nurses are allowed to access the cabinet contents. When restocking, pharmacy can quickly and accurately replenish the cabinets using the barcode scanner. 6 External Lock Module Control and track access to medications and supplies outside of a MedSelect Flex cabinet The External Lock Module controls and tracks access to medications and supplies outside of a traditional MedSelect Flex cabinet. The lock can be mounted on an existing refrigerator, cabinet or drawer and is electronically controlled from the Display Terminal. When a medication that is contained within the locked storage device is selected, an indicator light on the lock illuminates and the lock releases. 7 Unit Dose Module True unit dose dispensing in a secure, time-saving design The Unit Dose Module provides true unit dose dispensing to allow better control and tracking of medications with the highest level of drug accountability. The module utilizes single-dose packaged pouches, blister packs, vials, ampules, injectable cartridges and other medication packaging to dispense only the medication and the quantity needed for a patient. The first-in, first-out design makes restocking easy and reduces the chance of medications expiring.
