IP Programmable Key Modules The 12- and 48-button Mitel Programmable Key Modules (PKMs) extend the capabilities of the Mitel MiVoice 5324, 5330, and 5340 IP Phones and the Mitel MiVoice 8528 and 8568 Telephones with additional buttons and LED indicators. With these expansion modules, you can easily add 12 or 48 or up to 96 buttons to the existing programmable keys on the IP or digital phones. The PKM Interface Module allows the PKM 12 or 48 to be easily connected to an IP or digital phone These additional personal keys can be programmed as feature keys, speed dial keys, direct station select (DSS) keys, or line appearance keys. Each key has a line status indicator that works the same way as those on the associated telephone. The additional keys are easy to program through the telephone or by the system administrator. PKM 48-button units can also be attached to the Mitel 5540 IP Console, when used on the Mitel SX-200 IP Communications Platform (ICP), to extend DSS / BLF capabilities to the console operator.

Line Interface Module This module integrates into the Mitel MiVoice 5324, 5330, 5340 and 5360 IP Phones to provide a separate connection to an analogue line, such as those found on DSL services, in the event of wide area network failure. The Mitel Line Interface Module is a discrete optional module that integrates into the Mitel MiVoice 5324, 5330, 5340, or 5360 IP Phones and provides a separate connection to an analogue line, like those found on DSL services. In the event of a wide area network failure, the phone automatically uses the PSTN to provide continued basic telephony until service in restored. The teleworker can use the analogue line for emergency calls and for local calling.
