3 Broward County Board of Request for Information This Request for Information (RFI) is intended to ascertain whether the commodity or service specified below is currently available from multiple providers. This is not a request for pricing or a commitment to purchase. The following products are thought to be available from only a single source. This RFI will remain posted until the due at the date and time indicated. Vendors should submit response electronically through BidSync with the information requested. Commodity or Service Required: Microsoft Enterprise Agreement with Subscription based Office 3 Services residing in the Microsoft Government Cloud. Requester Enterprise Technology Services 1 North University Drive Suite 4003A Plantation, FL Known Sole Source Microsoft Corporation State of Florida Term Contract Software House International, named Sole Source Reseller State of Florida Term Contract Justification for Sole Source Acquisition The Broward County Board of standardized on Microsoft licensing, and the suite of Office productivity software. This includes Microsoft Office, Microsoft Exchange Services, Microsoft Lync, Microsoft Server, and Microsoft SharePoint Services, etc. The intent of the County is to retain its investment value in on premise licensing and utilizes the State of Florida Microsoft Enterprise Agreement Software Assurance program to preserve upgrade eligibility for the latest versions of software offerings. The State of Florida Term Contract contains the Microsoft Enterprise Agreement for review. Licensing and subscription services obtained are through the exclusive provider of services, Software House International (SHI) as contractually awarded under the State of Florida contract. Enterprise Technology Services, hereby referred to as ETS, acting on behalf of the Board of is seeking a renewal of the Microsoft Enterprise Agreement for a term of 3 months to become effective October 1, ETS intends to renew the Microsoft Enterprise Agreement via the State Term to include all associated amendments and the Microsoft Select Plus Agreement with level D pricing. The State of Florida under Amendment No. 4 of State Term has executed the inclusion of the Office 3 Plan G3, into the Enterprise enrollment under the Enterprise Agreement. Broward County ETS hereby intends to subscribe certain services within the Office 3 G3 plan. This service is exclusive to qualifying governmental agencies and such services reside in the Microsoft Government Cloud. 4 contracts_and_agreements/state_term_contracts/microsoft_license_maintenance_services Broward County ETS is seeking a hybrid Microsoft solution whereas a combination of on premise licensing in conjunction with the Microsoft governmental G3 add on services for the governmental cloud create a balance of cost, security, and administrative controls. This hybrid solution allows Broward County to retain ownership in licensing, and extend the County s Microsoft Active Directory Infrastructure into the Governmental Cloud. The extension of the County s network to the Microsoft Government cloud allows flexibility in the use of multiple devices assigned to staff, control public record data outside of the County internal network, and geographically disperse services subject to local weather events. The use of the Microsoft government cloud may include additional Microsoft product lines where Broward County owns licensing and has a desire to extend services such as Microsoft Project Server, Microsoft SharePoint, Microsoft Lync, and Microsoft Exchange, etc. If you can bid on this product or equal, respond to this Request for Information through BidSync. Prospective Vendors are requested to provide information regarding their ability to supply the commodities or contractual services described. All Vendor responses will be evaluated by the Using Agency which will be the sole determinate power in establishing the approved equal status of the commodity or service offered by the vendor. If it is determined in writing by the agency, after reviewing any information received from prospective Vendors, that the commodities or contractual services are available only from a sole source, a Request for Quotation will be issued to the sole source Vendor for processing and approval by the appropriate award authority.
