ARCP and CAPaBLE Low Carbon Initiatives Framework Biodiversity and Ecosystem Framework Climate Adaptation Framework Reduce, Reuse, Recycle (3R ) Initiatives GEOSS Purpose- achieve comprehensive, coordinated and sustained observations of the Earth system, in order to improve monitoring of the state of the Earth, increase understanding of Earth processes, and enhance prediction of the behavior of the Earth system Addressing nine areas of critial importance to people and society Disaster Health Energy Climate Water Weather Ecosystem Agriculture Biodiversity
11 ARCP and CAPaBLE programme GEOSS- Improving water resource management through better understanding of the water cycle APN has financial supported 10 projects (773,193 USD) related to GEOSS. Seven projects are directly related Asian Water Cycle Initiative 1. GEOSS/Asian water Cycle Initiative/Water Cycle Integrator (GEOSS/AWCI/WCI) 2. River Management System Development in Asia based on Data Integration and Analysis System (DIAS) under the GEOSS 3. Climate Change Impact Assessment on the Asia-Pacific Water Resources under AWCI/GEOSS 4.
