1 A. Driver Qualification I. Rental Requirements 1. Drivers are required to produce their original passports as a form of identification. 2. All national licenses must be valid and held for a minimum period of one year. 3. All drivers on visit or transit visa must produce their original national and international license. People using EGATE cards at immigration may not have an Entry stamp on their passport; they are required to provide their EGATE cards along with their original passports & drivers license. 4. 2 5. Visitors from Republic of Korea, Japan, Turkey and Greece are requested to have a translation of their license approved by the Council or Embassy. However we do recommend that an international license be obtained. 6. GCC National licenses are acceptable if drivers are holding a GCC passport. GCC countries are as follows: Oman, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Bahrain, Kuwait and United Arab Emirates. 7. Expatriates holding a GCC license are acceptable provided that the driver must have a current residence visa for the GCC country that has issued the license. 8. In the case of expatriates living in the UAE, a UAE license must be produced. In the case where the UAE license is less than 12 months, their national license should be produced together with the UAE license. 9. Drivers from other countries must have a valid International license plus their own National license. National or International licenses alone are not acceptable. 10. For additional drivers the above points apply as the main driver. 11. A major credit card in the name of the primary driver must be produced with original passport at the time of the rental. A Credit card imprint with pre-authorization will be taken at the start of rental to cover the rental charges and extras such as salik, rental extensions, traffic fines, damage and fuel. 12. A Customer Notice form should be signed by the renter who will be given a copy of the same. 13. All rentals are subject to the terms and conditions on the rental agreement, which must be duly signed by the driver. II. Age Restrictions 1. Minimum age for groups A F1 is 21 years and groups G and above is 25 years. B. Additional Charges 1. Additional drivers are charged at AED per rental. Page 2 of 7

3 2. All vehicles have a full tank of fuel at check out. Vehicles should be returned full or fuel charges will be charged at the end of the rental as per Budget s fuel rates. 3. Toll Roads (Salik) is applicable in Dubai. The cost is AED 5.00 per crossing. Toll fees are calculated on return of the vehicle. This is a government charge and the toll roads can be avoided using alternative routes. 4. A traffic violation administration fee of AED per traffic violation is applicable wherever violations have been incurred. All fines incurred by the hirer are his/her liability. In case if the vehicle is impounded by Government authorities / Police for any reason due to the hirers violation of law, the loss of rental charges for the period will be charged to the hirer. 5. A parking fee of AED per rental is applicable at Dubai airport locations and AED for others. This is not an airport surcharge. 6. Collision Damage Waiver (CDW) is offered separately and is charged as per vehicle category. 7. Personal Accident Insurance (PAI) is offered separately and is AED per day. C. Value Added Services & Accessories I. Delivery & Collection 1. A charge of AED will be applicable per service for delivery or collection within city limits anything outside city 100 AED per service. II. One way drop off fees 1. one way drop off fees between Abu Dhabi and other Emirates are charged AED 100. III. Accessories 1. Baby and child seats can be provided at a charge of AED per seat per day. Page 3 of 7

4 2. GPS navigation system is available at a charge of AED per day on request & subject to availability. Budget Car & Van Rental takes no responsibility for the consequences due to any errors, inaccuracies, omissions, or for any loss or damage suffered by users arising out of usage of any of the information published on any pages /maps on the GPS. D. Insurance I. Insurance Cover 1. Insurance covers use in U.A.E. only, unless prior agreement is given by Budget UAE. 2. Vehicles are covered by full comprehensive insurance as per the UAE laws. However, a police report must be obtained at the time of an accident or in the case of damage. If the renter failed to produce a valid police report to Budget UAE, all charges incurred will be the responsibility of the client, even if CDW has been taken. Upon issuance of a temporary police report from the Police Authority, it is customer(s) responsibility to re-visit the respective police station, retrieve a Final Valid Police Report & resubmit to Budget Car & Van Rental. No replacement vehicle will be supplied and rental charges will continue until a police report is received along with any other relevant documents. 3. In case of an accident and/or damage, the client is required to pay excess liability if CDW is not taken. A valid Police report is also required. 4. In the event of theft of a rented vehicle, the police must be notified immediately; otherwise cover would be rendered void. II. Use Restrictions 1. Punctures, tyre damage, wheel caps, aerials and windscreens are not covered by insurance, even after paying CDW unless the damage is caused as a result of an accident and the client has obtained a valid police report. 2. Off-road driving renders the insurance invalid even after paying CDW. 3. Loss or damage to personal items is not covered under the terms of the insurance. Page 4 of 7

5 4. Driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs renders the insurance invalid. N.B. Alcohol limit is ZERO. III. Oman Insurance 1. All cars entering Oman must have prior approval from Budget UAE. All rentals for Oman are subject to additional 20% surcharge of Budget s current local tariff rates for every day in Oman. An additional charge of AED applies for each 10-day period will be levied in lieu of Oman Insurance Coverage. 2. Restrictions: Vehicles from grp. AA,A and B are not allowed to enter Oman. The vehicles from grp. C and above can be driven in Oman. 3. For one-way drop offs to Muscat, Oman, a charge of AED will apply. Muscat drop-offs (one-way rentals) are restricted to saloon vehicles, small 4 wheel drives only and are subject to Budget s approval. Luxury Four-Wheel Drive vehicles such as Landcruiser, Tahoe and Hummer must be returned to Dubai, unless an approval from Budget UAE is sought on a case to case basis. There is no facility for one-way drop offs in Salalah, Oman. 4. Our Terms of Business and Insurance cover are all subject to the UAE law. E. Reservations I. Central Reservation 1. 6 3. 2 Hours lead-time is required for any reservation. 4. Stop sales (blackouts) may occasionally apply at peak periods for specific categories. II. Alterations to bookings 1. Any alteration to a booking must be directed to the Budget UAE Central Reservations Office. 2. Any changes on the booking may lead to changes on the confirm price of the rental. III. Cancellations 1. Budget UAE Central Reservations Office should be advised of any cancellation of a booking as soon as possible. F. Other Terms and Conditions I. Vehicle Type & Availability 1. Every endeavor will be made to provide a specific vehicle make if indicated on a reservation and voucher. However, Budget UAE can only guarantee a vehicle category / group. If for any reason the reserved/booked vehicle is not available, Budget UAE reserves the right to substitute a comparable or superior vehicle at no cost to the customer. Such action by Budget does not constitute a breach of the vehicle conditions/contract and does not entitle the renter to any refund. If no alternative vehicle is available, Budget s liability is limited to the return of all payments made. II. Rental Period 1. Minimum rental period is 24 hours with a grace period of 2 hours. 2. If the delay is more than 2 hours, an additional day will be charged. III. Return of Vehicle Page 6 of 7

If there is a change in the Collection Location at the time of off-hiring (returning the vehicle), the renter should contact the renting location or Budget Call Center on and inform them of the time and place of collection. G. Methods of Payment 1. A major credit card in the name of the primary driver must be produced. A Credit card imprint with pre-authorization will be taken at the start of rental to cover the rental charges and extras such as salik, rental extensions, traffic fines, damage and fuel. All major cards are accepted: Mastercard, Visa, Diners and American Express. Rental amount can be paid in cash at the end of the rental agreement. Page 7 of 7
