2 WHAT IS CARETTAPONTOON? A floating structure, which is formed by two or more tubes, connected with a platform.

3 HISTORICAL BACKGROUND First pontoon boat was invented by an American farmer who lived in Richmond in He produced his first pontoon boat by using a wooden platform on the pontoons.

4 Many people were inspired from him and use pontoons in their own works.

5 Mr. Weeres, thought that this idea was marketable and produced a pontoon boat with his own opportunities. He named this pontoon; Empress. Suddenly, an unexpected demand began for pontoon boats and this became first step to establish an industry for pontoon boats, in USA. However, actually, the first pontoon was used in the 1 st World War by Turkish Army, in Çanakkale, according to some historical researches. For that reason, we are proud of manufacturing Pontoon boats in TURKEY.

18 American and other pontoon producers start working to enter the market in Turkey. Turkey is in the rank number three on the yacht producing so, it shouldn t leave the market to the foreigner pontoon producers.

20 Profits of carettapontoon boats production for Turkey: Production of carettapontoon boats will decrease the import and increase the export level, so contribute Turkish economy. Turkish boat production industry increases the employment. Everyone can have the carettapontoon boats, because of its comfortable, safe usage and affordable price, so, domestic tourism will increase. Pollution level in our seas, river and lakes will be decrease. New technology practices, ability and capacity will increase in aluminum sector and production industry. Improvements of tourism activities inland waters. Controls of activities where doing inland waters become easier.
