Mobile devices with 3G connectivity were deployed but the unreliable connection made the task difficult. Furthermore, excessive over use charges meant this was an expensive option. The customer deployed a Hybrid solution from Onwave (Hybrid SE5 with and 3G access). The result was a resilient managed connection with 10 times capacity of the previous solution. The business needed to able to extend the network and securely add/remove temporary construction sites, whilst containing costs. The sites varied considerable in size so the solution has to scale to meet the different environments. Onwave supplied a Hybrid service, with a HEC1 in the primary data centre, and HE3s on each of the constructions sites. The result was impressive, the service simplified the process for adding or removing sites.
