Case Situation & Question Shavit is a new software company that developed a cutting-edge database management system. Their founder, Yael Vardi, is considered a genius in the software engineering community. Using software from the Israeli Defense Forces that tracks soldiers performance, she developed an IT system that creates profiles of consumer and product profitability for insurance companies. She wants to have an IPO next year so Shavit can grow internationally. Shavit wants to present a case to their VCs for going public next year instead of in 3 years as advised. They have hired you to identify and evaluate key concerns that potential investors might have about their business. Case Twist After meeting with the VCs, you learn that Shavit will likely be sold to a major IT consulting firm. How would your concerns change as a result of this discovery?
