EDITORIAL 03 A signpost seems to us to be a good visual image of what WITRON is all about. Dependable, firmly anchored, always purposeful and forward-looking, and never self-serving, but embedded in a greater whole. Like a signpost, WITRON gives its clients confidence and leads them to the best possible outcome. Since the outset, our goal has been to devise the optimal solution to every problem, and to do so from our base here in the Upper Palatinate. We started as a company for industrial control systems, and in the eighties we realized machine controls for corrugators across the globe. With the introduction and specialization into the logistics controls area, we set the decisive path for WITRON. We are very proud that we have been able to set milestones in the industry along the way. But more than anything else we are delighted that we have worked with many of our clients for decades now. This brochure outlines the road WITRON has traveled in six different dimensions. You will be introduced to a few of our employees, clients, and solutions and you will read about what moves and motivates us in our everyday work. You will discover even more, of course, if you visit us in Parkstein. You can regard this brochure also as an invitation to Parkstein. I would be delighted to see you. For now, I hope you enjoy reading our company brochure. Yours, Walter Winkler View of Parkstein, the four plants, the company sports hall, and WITRON s Logistikhof in the Upper Palatinate.
04 FAMILY COMPANY FORWARD-LOOKING FAMILY COMPANY Being ground-breaking has always been our aspiration, ever since we founded our company. It holds true for our projects, our employees, our corporate culture, and our responsibility to both the environment and society. Thanks to our clients trust and our employees dedication, our one-man business has been transformed into a globally successful company with more than 2,000 employees. Our service port folio has continuously expanded; we are able to Much has changed since 1971 but the fundamentals have stayed the same! have stayed the same: I have the great joy of passionately pursuing a vision that prompted me to found WITRON 40 years ago, sharing it these days with well over 1,000 people. A relentless client focus, connected with an integrated responsibility for our own behavior and the will to always accomplish the best solution. The fact that we live this vision from Parkstein, we can shoulder this responsibility towards our homeland. We give young people opportunities and offer employees prospects in our region. take on larger orders and surmount bigger challenges. The demands on logistics solutions have grown and so has our offering. Technology has quickened the global pulse since our beginnings and allows us to implement all perspectives into the projects. However, the fundamentals in these more than four decades Together, we have developed outstanding expertise in the past years. Today, we are recognized as one of the most innovative companies in our industry. And we will continue along our path: Pointing the way for our clients and the industry, as a constant presence in the region, and a reliable employer for our employees. CLIENT STATEMENTS Premium logistics for premium vehicles Juergen Wels, CEO, PORSCHE LOGISTIK GMBH (Germany) A sophisticated and leading-edge logistics system with streamlined and efficient processes in the central spare parts center ensures the best quality for worldwide parts distribution and thus optimal customer service. Frank Stuehrenberg, Managing Director PHOENIX CONTACT (Germany) Our partnership with WITRON, which goes back well over 10 years, is a sign of mutual trust. In all the projects we have implemented together, it has been a major advantage that WITRON was responsible as general contractor for both the planning and the overall implementation. The various upgrades have had to be implemented during ongoing operation and therefore completed exactly on time and with maximum precision. Looking back and looking ahead, we can say that mechanization and flexibility go hand in hand at WITRON. Automated solutions are compatible with development and can be adjusted effectively and cost-efficiently to meet business changes. Over the years, modular optimizations in the logistics structure, made necessary by changing market requirements, have resulted in an all-in-one solution that suits us perfectly.
06 MILESTONES STAGES IN WITRON S HISTORY Milestones in WITRON s technical development From a lone wolf in the area of industrial control systems to a general contractor for logistics plants worldwide Founding of the company in Weiden/Upper Palatinate Mission: PLANNING, PRODUCTION, AND ASSEMBLY OF INDUSTRIAL CONTROL SYSTEMS FOR A VAST RANGE OF APPLICATIONS. 10 10 RESPONSIBILITY COMMITTED WITRON goes the extra mile, and so do WITRON s employees. This, we feel, is the true meaning of responsibility and commitment, and at all levels too. Obviously, we do all we can for our clients and their projects. But we also do the same for our clients Being human means to take responsibility. employees, our own employees, and our neighborhood. Our clients count on us: on our skills and knowledge, but also on our dedication, and quite rightly so. every bit as important to make sure that everything works while improving ergonomics and saving energy and conserving resources at the same time. We are committed to achieving these aims as well. Since we believe in long-term colla boration, we provide extensive training and we push and promote our people. We give them the responsibility they are capable of assuming: no more, but also no less than that. Clients are sometimes amazed at the age of WITRON employees mana- After all, clients have a lot riding on the success of our joint projects: Christmas trade, production, competitive advantages, economic success, and much more. We assume responsibility here. We are committed, and we give our all to make sure everything works. We know we are different in this respect. Making sure everything works is crucial to us but it is just one aspect. We believe it is ging projects or sub-projects. We aren t, because we know what our people can do. To be human is to accept responsibility! This is why it does not end with our projects: our buildings in Parkstein fit into the landscape and give due attention to the protection of the environment. Commitment and responsibility are living components of the corporate culture at WITRON and we are proud of this fact. CLIENT STATEMENTS Short delivery times are of top priority. Andreas Wiebe, Project Coordinator at FESTO AG & CO. Since 1994, FESTO and WITRON have been successfully working together in the warehouse logistics area. So far, WITRON successively expanded our central warehouse in St. Ingbert, Germany, in four construction phases and pro-actively adapted the material flows to our dynamic business. In consequence, we are able to provide an optimal delivery service to more than 300,000 customers in 176 countries around the world. And also within our North American expansion, we will opt again for WITRON. Our new distribution center in Ohio will supply all North American customers in a very short time after receipt of order. Availability of goods and short delivery times are of top priority in our industry sector. All articles ordered today have to be received by our customers on the next day.
COMMITTED 11 Our clients count on us and quite rightly so. WITRON COMMITMENT Karl Hoegen, CEO WITRON North America Commitment is when a person takes responsibility There is one phrase that our clients never hear from us: I am not responsible for that! This does not mean that all our people can do absolutely everything. But every single person at WITRON feels responsible for our clients, and will help them resolve any problem. Given that our teams often work together for many years without any changes, most of us can do a lot. Or they make sure that a colleague takes care of things. Johannes Meissner, Project Manager Commitment transcends borders Anyone in a position to offer help is fortunate, and we see it as our duty. We are committed to our region and to places much further afield. For many years now, we have supported BRASCRI in its work for children in Brazil. Through the education and training it provides, healthy and sick children and young people are given the chance of a future. In Africa, we also support well-building projects as well as the construction of hospitals, and educational institutes. By helping in this way, we try to magnify and share some of our success. Josef Bauriedl, Project Manager Responsibility has a future It is a disgrace on society s part that fewer and fewer young people are being given educational opportunities. Walter Winkler has a very clear view on social responsibility. WITRON therefore provides training, with more than 1,000 young people benefitting since With many craft enterprises in the region unable to continue to afford to offer training, WITRON has assumed some of these training costs. CASE STUDY A show-case in terms of efficiency, quality, and ROI So far, FUTURE ELECTRONICS and WITRON have realized three logistics centers in the USA, Germany, and Singapore. The system in Memphis is said to be the show-case of this industry sector in terms of efficiency, quality, and ROI. The EMEA DC (Europe, Middle East, Africa distribution center) in Leipzig is the logistical center piece of our next-day delivery service within Europe, the Middle East, and Africa. Through the logistics center in Asia and the existing system simi la rity of all logistics locations, FUTURE ELECTRONICS sees another competitive advantage based on a worldwide connected supply chain.
12 TECHNOLOGY INNOVATIVE More cost-effective, more dynamic, more durable, boiled down to one idea: anything that could not more ergonomic, more energy-efficient these be gripped and lifted had to be pushed. These days, five adjectives describe the path taken by the logistics industry in recent decades. It is a path that around the world, operate precisely, quickly, and some hundred COMs installed at customer sites we have had quite a hand in shaping: through continuous reflection, hard work, and technical inno- day, which equates to a weight of thousands of intelligently, pushing around millions of cases per vations. Few industries have changed as much as tons that would otherwise have had to be lifted and ours over the past few decades. Standing still in carried by numerous employees. Other solutions logistics means falling behind. That is why we are that we have developed in Parkstein are also pointing the way: The Dynamic Picking System is now a forever developing new and sometimes surprising solutions. Let me give tried-and-tested standard you an example: the quest for a fully automated picking solution preoccupied us and our competitors for many years. The impetus for us to find a solution came in the form of a very specific request for a fully automated system. We accepted this challenge and Standing still means falling behind, which is why we are forever developing new and sometimes surprising solutions. solution, and the Ergonomic Tray Picking concept meets the growing demands on ergonomics in logistics. With all our inventions, pa tents, innovations, and enhancements, techno logy remains just a tool that serves to make our clients even more found the perfect solution. With the Order Picking Machinery (OPM) and its Case Order Machine employees, and to supply our clients customers successful, to make the work easier for our clients (COM), our clients can pick large quantities of goods with what they want to buy when they want to buy fully automated in next to no time doing so 24 it. Engineering is our business, innovation our passion since 1971, and in the hours a day, 7 days a week. In the end, the solution future. CLIENT STATEMENTS Said Bindou CEO SCAPAlsace (FRANCE) Strategic step into the future When we saw the WITRON systems in live operation at another food retailer, we were immediately sure that this is the right solution for SCAPAlsace, as well. For us, OPM is a pioneering and strategic step in terms of cost-efficiency, pick quality, and pick capacity, and especially workstation ergonomics in both logistics as well as in our stores. The upcoming changes in our industrysector make this decision necessary in terms of automation.
INNOVATIVE TECHNOLOGY INNOVATIVE FAS WITRON S LOGISTICS SOLUTIONS WITRON s innovative and modular logistics solutions point the way in this industry. Some of our successful modules are described as follows. Engineering is our business, innovation our passion! SINCE Foundation in Saarbruecken 2005 Integration of FAS into the WITRON Group 2007 Start of mechanics production in Parkstein 2010 Go-live plant 3 in Parkstein, own development AS/RS steel construction 2013 Go-live plant 4 in Parkstein 2014 Employees > 300 PRODUCTS The product portfolio of FAS comprises all decisive tote, tray, and pallet conveyor system components including corresponding equipment, as well as the successful Case Order Machine (COM). The steel construction for WITRON projects is also developed at FAS. The idea came from company founder Walter Winkler: A cable car to transport materials between plant 3 and 4. FMC Food Multi-Channel Cost-efficient Multi-Channel concept of logistics modules, distribution channels, and assortment breadth for the logistics of a food retailer. DDS Drive Darkstore System Automated Multi-Channel solution that significantly optimizes the processes in Darkstores and Drives. The COM enables goods to be picked in a store-friendly manner on both pallets or roll cages without the use of personnel. Nr European Patent Office Case Order Machine: Fully automated picking machine at the heart of the OPM system solution. Nr European Patent Office Dynamic Picking System: Storage and picking system for small-cube articles. Integrated storage and picking of totes in an automated system. Static and dynamic provision of stored items in the pick front is done through stacker cranes. Picking principle: Combination of goods-to-person and person-to-goods. VDI Innovation Award New era in warehouse logistics The Case Order Machine was the missing element in a fully automated warehouse and picking process for retail goods and heralded a new era in warehouse logistics, said Prof. Dr. Willibald Guenthner when awarding WITRON the VDI Innovation Award for Logistics. So, we are able to supply more than 30,000 customers across Europe within 24 hours with frozen bakery products. FörderAnlagen Systeme GmbH OWN MECHANICS PRODUCTION / FAS On a surface of some seven soccer fields and within a state-of-the-art wooden structure environment, WITRON s subsidiary FAS (FoerderAnlagen Systeme GmbH) designs and produces almost the entire mechanics for WITRON systems. The corner stone for the opening goes back to a decision made in Company founder Walter Winkler decided to develop and produce the conveyor system elements for his highly dynamic picking systems on his own. Our customers expect maximum performance from WITRON systems up to 24 hours a day, 7 days a week and to realize all that successfully, reliably, and cost-efficiently, mechanics must comply to the highest quality requirements. We are able to guarantee this top quality with our own production of conveyor systems, stacker cranes, special machines, and with the racking for tote and tray systems, explains Walter Winkler his decision made in 2005, which substantially changed WITRON s company structure, and which nobody in Parkstein regrets so far. FAS has experienced growth that even the boldest optimists would not have predicted. The production areas created with the building of plant 3 in 2010 were no longer sufficient due to the high workload. Based on that, the decision was made in 2012 to significantly expand these areas with the building of plant 4 to a total of 48,000 square meters / 516,668 square feet. WITRON s success affirms the decision once made. The fact that the mechanics for WITRON s systems comes from their own production, is developed to the individual need of the customer, and is optimally integrated into their own IT, control, drive, and sensor technology, is an absolute success factor today. Interface problems are eliminated completely. The success of WITRON s subsidiary FAS was one of many things that helped guarantee the success of the entire Martin Stich, CEO FAS WITRON group.

20 HOME DOWN TO EARTH Walter Winkler once said: WITRON s success was and is due to our base in Parkstein only, because it is significantly bound up with a trait common to people from the Upper Palatinate: being down to earth. This is all about knowing your roots, keeping both feet firmly on the ground, even when the people, and the familiarity in our dealings with one other. We are happy to work for a company that not only uses these roots, but also nurtures them: We provide extensive training, support regional initiatives, and work hard to encourage budding engineers, programmers, and technicians. Our sports things are going well. People, who are down to earth can give others stability. And we see this as our duty. We give our clients security. We derive the strength to We are happy to work for a company that nurtures its roots. hall, for example, is also used by the school and the local community. Why is WITRON still in Parkstein and not in Munich or Nuremberg, or Stuttgart? Just because beneath this do this from our home. We have strong roots here in Parkstein. Well over half of our employees work in the north of the Upper Palatinate and come from here. Clients usually only really understand what makes us tick once they have visited us in Parkstein. They witness the raw charm of the landscape, the easy warmth and unconditional dependability of basalt cone there is obviously an excellent climate for highly committed employees, brilliant ideas, and the development of personal abilities, or quite simply, because this is our home, and because we know that our people like coming back here after they have been away assisting our clients. These are good reasons, we think. CLIENT STATEMENTS Kevin Dougherty Group VP Logistics THE KROGER (USA) These people deliver on their promises! We have been working successfully with WITRON on over ten projects since At the heart of this journey we have taken together, which spans many years, lie the project successes we have achieved, of course, and the technical innovations. But the basis of our relationship is the fact that WITRON keeps to its words. These people deliver on their promises. They have credibility, which is reflected in every aspect: in their people, their corporate culture, their premises, and their home.
DOWN TO EARTH 21 We derive the strength for our work from home. 18 22 SUSTAINABILITY APPRENTICESHIP The employees are the most important capital of the WITRON Group. Companies are only innovative and successful if they have well trained and motivated employees. Only those who have strong roots, think on a long-term and dare to be creative, says company founder Walter Winkler. For WITRON and the owner family Winkler it is a particularly heartfelt desire to train young people and to offer them perspectives. In addition to graduate and high school internships, the company offers some 80 new apprenticeship positions per year and has been one of the most demanded employers in the northern Upper Palatinate for many years. More than 1,000 juveniles have been trained at WITRON since quarters of today s workforce were trained within the company. As an enterprise, WITRON is responsible for its trainees, as well: WITRON employs as many trainees as they can and will further employ 100 % of them in a great variety of professions. This is the goal and that goal is realized to a great extent. Another great deal of importance is the support of talents: Discover talents, supporting strengths through active and targeted support by more experienced colleagues, but also with challenging tasks, language courses, extra payments for further education, studies, master school, etc. Moreover, the success is visible: Numerous best exami n - the company s foundation in Challenge and encourage is still Challenge and encourage ees in the guild, Chamber of Commerce winners, regional winners, or one of the most important credos of the company founder Walter Winkler. At an early stage, WITRON offers its junior staff the possibility to take over responsibility. The result is loyalty and above-average commitment of the staff. Three even natio nal winners speak for them selves. Many project leader and leadership positions, through to the management board positions, are occupied by employees who completed their apprenticeship at WITRON. CLIENT STATEMENTS Boost productivity, improve picking accuracy, and compress order cycle times. All aims specified by the management board were achieved. Daniel Nussbaumer, Member of the Management Board, MIGROS (SWITZERLAND) High quality and flexibility in the delivery process is of vital importance for our business. The OPM solution that was realized together with WITRON is capable of coping with all demands along the entire process chain in an efficient manner starting with the suppliers, straight through to the distribution center, the transport process, and to the store and it increases costefficiency at MIGROS considerably. All economic aims specified by the manage ment board, as well as all quality figures determined for our customers, were achieved. Since ergonomics becomes a more important issue for all processes, MIGROS is certain to be well positioned with the new OPM system.
24 FOCUSING ON THE CLIENT COMPETENT One-stop logistics has crucial benefits for our clients. The best possible logistics systems produce competitive advantages for their users. With our expertise and practical experience amassed from over 2,000 successful projects as well as very close contact with the client, we know exactly what is needed to guarantee maximum availability and investment security. By expanding our portfolio continuously in recent decades, we have de ve l- oped comprehensive know-how across all project phases, which we are able to use to make our clients more and more successful. As a general contractor, we assume full system responsibility, starting with planning, moving on to realization, and continuing right through to service, maintenance, and operation of the plant 7 days a week, 24 hours a day. This is important for client retention and a long-term relationship built on trust. We collaborate with the client to analyze the requirements within the entire supply chain from the supplier to the consumer, plan the best solution from a strategic, operational, and sustainable point of view, realize this solution as a general contractor using innovative logistics and IT modules, and also ensure that the system is operational on time with professional ramp-up management. With individual service packages, we also provide our clients with support for the long term, thereby guaranteeing that the systems run smoothly over their entire lifespan. In the case of logistics systems with particularly high performance and quality demands, the mechanics form a core component. For this reason, we have been manufacturing the mechanics for our systems ourselves since New project experiences are constantly being incorporated into the innovation process. Mechanics, IT, control techno l- ogy, and actuator and sensor technology, all mesh together seamlessly. With mechanics production, we have again enhanced our own value creation as a full service provider for logistics solutions. Onestop logistics has crucial benefits for our clients when it comes to the design, installation, commissioning, and timely ramp-up of the systems. CLIENT STATEMENTS Reacting purposefully to all market requirements Pasi Siilmaa + Tuukka Turunen Project responsible Logistics Managers INEX PARTNERS OY (FINLAND) With our new distribution center we set a new logistical benchmark not only internally but also externally; internally in terms of high profitability and sustainability through the use of energy-efficient technology and ergonomic workstations ensuring permanent be nefits for the environment and our employees; externally through a high degree of flexibility and picking quality so that we can offer even better store service to our clients. Based on the precisely coordinated processes from the supplier, across all areas of the logistics center, and through to the stores our supply chains are not sensitive to chan- ges in the article spectrum, seasonal impacts, extreme peak days, surprising sales promotions, or holiday fluctuations. With our new automated storage and picking systems, we are able to react dynamically and purposefully to any market requirement in the future.
COMPETENT 25 The best possible logistics systems produce competitive advantages. SERVICE + INNOVATIVE AFTER-SALES CONCEPTS Christian Dietl, CEO Service / Authorized Signatory Uli Schlosser, Head of Sales / Authorized Signatory You only design, what you believe will work. WITRON builds systems that work. And the WITRON Service Team cares not only until final acceptance, but keeps its promise also afterwards for the life of the system. WITRON has designed innovative service and operator models that support the customer over the entire life cycle of a system, and guarantee high system availability and investment protection. Innovative after-sales service starts already in the design and layout phase, for example, when it concerns accessibilities, redundancies, required manpower, highly available mechanics, IT, controls, and sustainable spare parts strategies. The WITRON Service offers a various portfolio, for example Helpdesk service, IT system service, maintenance service, spare parts service, training service, WITOOL service, modernization service, takeover of the control center responsibility, on-site service for maintenance and production. Together with the customer, the WITRON service experts develop a service concept out of this tool box, which is exactly tailored to the clients demands. So, the customer can concentrate on his/her main business and WITRON ensures a permanently working logistics system. Under the leadership of the WITRON Service CEO, Christian Dietl, some 900 employees are responsible for the worldwide realization of the service concepts. Our leading-edge distribution center François Vimard, Chief Financial Officer, SOBEYS INC. (CANADA) Our distribution center with solutions from WITRON is an industry first in Canada. We have truly set the new standard for the most effective and efficient means of distribution in our industry. While there are significant cost savings resulting from the leading-edge logistics technology, the greater benefit will be realized by customers at the store level. The Retail Support Center (RSC) represents the future of our food retail logistics and underscores our focus on building and sustaining a healthy retail food business and supporting infrastructure for the long-term. As we continue to become widely recognized as the best food retailer in Canada, this facility positions us with capacity for growth and service leadership for years to come.
26 EXCELLENCE LEADING of the word because we have always backed the independence and strengths of our employees and they share in our overall success. To excel in one of these areas is something that many firms manage. But to be a step ahead on several levels Pointing the way, showing commitment, being innovative, and staying down to earth, and demonstrating expertise: in this brochure we have introduced key facets of our company and examined our company from different angles. These perspectives clearly reveal how unique WITRON is. This final chapter revolves around the concept of leadership. I am certain that leadership is what accounts for WITRON s excellence and makes the difference. Only someone who leads, who is a step We are motivated by the desire to always be a step ahead: in the industry, in project management, and in corporate culture. this is what accounts for WITRON s excellence; this is what makes our company a leader. Walter Winkler embodies this excellence he has magnified his vision of self-realization through responsibility a thousand times over at WITRON. His credo that one can lose ahead, can truly point the way. We are motivated by the desire to always be a step ahead: in the industry, because we are always on the lookout for optimizations and innovations; in project management, because we always keep an eye on the bigger picture and know, thanks to our considerable experience, what and how we can still improve. Our corporate culture is also a leader in the best sense money but not one s good name reflects this aspiration precisely: It is about always doing your best economic success will then follow naturally. That is why today WITRON is a company, a life s work, and a business model that is always focused on the future. Let me take this opportunity to thank everyone, who will continue to work with us on shaping this future and to walk with us along this path. LIGHTHOUSE PROJECT One hundred percent WITRON at KROGER, Paramount (USA) With around 300,000 employees and 2,500 supermarkets in over 30 US states, KROGER is the largest food retailer in the USA and an important partner for WITRON for more than 10 years. Our anniversary coincided with the conclusion of a ground-breaking project with KROGER: the new distribution center in Paramount is one hundred percent WITRON, right down to the mechanical components. In its new distribution center in Paramount (California), KROGER is putting its faith in WITRON s Order Picking Machinery (OPM) with 20 Case Order Machines and a Car Picking System (CPS). With this project, all the mechanical components were produced in-house for the very first time a milestone in the development of one-stop logistics. In its new ultra-modern distribution center, KROGER is placing all its trust in WITRON solutions and components and, in doing so, ensuring maximum availability and long-term investment security.
LEADING 27 It is all about always giving your best! WITRON STRENGTHS More than 40 years of experience After more than four decades in the project business, we know what really matters: that it works from the standpoint of schedule, technical functionality, and economics. After more than 40 years of service to the client, we know what really matters: from a comprehensible, a reliable, and personal standpoint. 360-degree logistics With design, realization, operation, and service, we are a company that covers the entire spectrum of logistics. Our clients benefit in all areas from our wealth of experience and from a one-stop service. To offer even better solutions in the future, we provide not only the software and controls used in our projects, but also the main mechanics, systematically expanding the proportion of components that carry the made by WITRON label. Helmut Prieschenk, CEO Focus on the future For many years now, WITRON has been part of a foundation, which means it cannot be sold and will be here in the Upper Palatinate for the long-term as an independent company. To ensure that the next 40 years are just as successful, we are all working hard to improve every day. We believe that future challenges will lie mainly in the area of ergonomics and in the increasing requirements in trade and industry in relation to the breadth of the product range, the order structure, speed, cost-efficiency, transport costs, as well as the growing number of sales and distribution channels like e-commerce, multi-channel logistics, or fulfillment. KROGER s distribution center in Paramount (USA) operates using 100 % WITRON technology in both its IT and its mechanics.
28 EXCELLENCE FOUNDER STATEMENT WITRON S MOTTO Walter Winkler, founder and owner We will continue to work systematically! The future has a past and we will therefore continue to rely on the principle that has made us successful: We will continue to work systematically on developing even better solutions for our clients. The way I see it, there are three focal points at present. First, we have the issue of ergonomics. Here in Europe especially, ergonomic and pleasant work environments are key factors in the contest to recruit qualified and motivated workers. I am certain that we can and must do even more in this particular area in the future. I also know that we still have great potential for development along the entire logistics value chain. Our strength has always been our ability to see the whole picture: having optimal logistics solutions makes as much sense in a distribution center as it does at a manufacturer, or in a supermarket. New distribution channels like e-commerce or multi-channel logistics are challenging tasks for logistics experts. We must find a way to support these new channels using our longstanding logistics know-how. Thirdly, we have made decisive strides forward on the road to 360-degree service: With our own mechanics production, we are able to offer complete systems from a single source. And through the production of mechanical components for conveyors and machinery, as well as the manufacture of racking for our logistics systems, we have practically reached our goal of being a supplier with full responsibility for delivery quality. Through our full-service concept, we have taken over system operation for many projects. What is more, we have already set ourselves new future goals for the logistics industry.
LEADING 29 We remain TRUE to ourselves because we continue to MOVE FORWARD
