Moderator: Othman Atta Speakers: Charles Swift, Christina Jump The Criminalization of Charity for Palestine in the US: The Case of the HLF-5 Author Miko Peled will discuss his latest book Injustice on the unjust prosecution and incarceration of the leaders of the Holy Land Foundation, which was the largest Muslim charity in the U.S. Nida Abu-Baker, the daughter of Shukri, will speak about her father who was sentenced to 65 years in prison. As we inherit the trauma of the Nakba, the Naksa, Oslo's failures and the current despair from our older generation, we also see the growth of a new leadership among our ranks. How do young Palestinians in America, envision their role in the larger Palestinian cause and struggle? Attempts by the Trump administration to suffocate the Palestinian cause cannot be confronted if we don't understand that this fight will affect generations to come.
