1 TENAFLY PUBLIC SCHOOLS JOB DESCRIPTION ASSISTANT SUPERINTENDENT TITLE: CERTIFICATION: REPORTS TO: Assistant Superintendent New Jersey School Administrator certification Superintendent of Schools AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY Ensures that all curriculum in the district K-12 is aligned with the state standards; Oversees the consistency and rigor of the K-12 curriculum; Assists in the development and implementation of an instructional and evaluation model that ensures student learning and support for teachers; evaluates assigned personnel; Works with Principals and Supervisors to update curriculum to match the state standards in all content areas and serves on Board Curriculum Committee; Monitors and oversees the District Curriculum Cycles; Monitors and updates the District Long-Range Plan and works with Superintendent and Business Administrator to ensure that the Long-range Plan is realistic and within budget; Works with Principals and Supervisors to plan new programs; Assists in the development of a fiscally responsible and educationally sound budget and attends community meetings to communicate budget priorities; Incorporates the Long-Range Plan and demographic reports and ideas into the budget. Oversees Professional Development for the district, assesses needs and provides support, and ensures that District complies with any new state laws regarding Professional Development; Oversees the District Assessment Program, develops district analysis of results, implements a plan based on results and presents data to Board of Education; Responsible for the implementation and coordination of the Board s policy on Harassment, Intimidation and Bullying; Serves as administrative liaison for Anti-Bullying Program; Serves as Affirmative Action Officer; Coordinates, develops and implements the Orientation Program for teachers new to the district; Responsible for the development and implementation of a Mentoring Program as required by the state for new teachers; Oversees the K-12 Supervisory Model; Oversees the School Age Child Care Program and works with coordinator to ensure a safe environment for all students enrolled; Assists in the development of Professional Learning Communities at all levels; Develops and prepares state reports, such as NJQSAC; Equity Plan; NCLB Grant; Violence, Vandalism and Substance Abuse, and Harassment, Intimidation and Bullying Responsible for Board reports on various topics Serves on various district committees Other related duties as may be requested by the Superintendent of Schools

Monitors course enrollments and the tuition reimbursement program... Supervises and evaluates the substitute service program for professional and secretarial staff. 7 TENAFLY PUBLIC SCHOOLS TENAFLY, NEW JERSEY JOB DESCRIPTION SUPERVISOR OF ATHLETICS, PHYSICAL EDUCATION/HEALTH, FAMILY LIFE GRADES K-12 REQUIREMENT: Must possess New Jersey Certification as Supervisor or Principal/Supervisor PRIMARY FUNCTION: Responsible for the Athletic program district-wide and supervises all athletic extra-curricular programs. Responsible for the instructional leadership of the Physical Education/Health department for Grades K through 12, including supervision of staff, articulation of curriculum and instruction, monitoring of student progress and evaluation and development of instructional programs as well as Family Life Program and Driver Education Program. REPORTS TO: Assistant Superintendent MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: ATHLETIC ACTIVITIES Responsible for scheduling, organizing, and supervising interscholastic and intramural athletic activities. 9 TENAFLY PUBLIC SCHOOLS TENAFLY, NEW JERSEY JOB DESCRIPTION TITLE: Business Administrator/Board Secretary The School Business Administrator/Board Secretary shall strive to achieve district goals for pupils by providing leadership and supervision in the district program of fiscal management and in other assigned programs, and by acting as a proper model for staff and pupils both in and outside the school district. REQUIREMENTS: School Business Administrator Certificate or eligibility; Certification as Quality Purchasing Agent; Experience in budget preparation and administration and understanding of statutory and code requirements related to school budgeting; Understanding of the principles and practices of financial accounting and reporting procedures consistent with statute, code and GAAP requirements; Knowledge of statutory requirements and accepted practices in school districts related to insurance, purchasing, transportation, food services, school plant operations and facility planning; Demonstrated organizational, communication and interpersonal skills. PRIMARY FUNCTION: The Director of School Counseling Services functions under the direction of the High School Principal as part of the school leadership team. Responsible for the leadership of the HS School Counseling Department, including staff supervision, coordination of all state and Advanced Placement testing, coordination of the master schedule, planning and developing department programs and activities, and a lead role in the K- 12 articulation of the District School Counseling Program. REPORTS TO: High School Principal MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Oversees the development and implementation of a well-conceived and comprehensive school counseling program. Participates in the recruitment and selection of School Counseling department personnel; conducts orientation and training for new school counselors. The supervisor provides an integrated support system for students, staff and families with a whole child approach. 33 TENAFLY PUBLIC SCHOOLS JOB DESCRIPTION TITLE: QUALIFICATIONS: PRIMARY FUNCTION: Superintendent of Schools New Jersey School Administrator certification; school administration and teaching experience; demonstrated success with curriculum, personnel management, school finance and strategic planning. The Superintendent shall serve as Chief Executive and Administrative Officer of the district by implementing policies established by the Board of Education and by discharging the duties imposed on his/her office by law.
