I think your school is outstanding and the course for me was the perfect blend of time, content, consistency, professionalism and hands-on help with friendly staff who never hesitated to take that extra time to soothe nerves, reassure and encourage! At 55 and having left a job, moved home to live in the country with my parents, Dad 92 and Mom 90, I had made a huge life change and needed a career that would carry me through until retirement. Medical Transcription seemed a good idea and when I began researching schools, I found CanScribe. Your school gave me the skills to be able to work from home in a rewarding, challenge job. I would certainly not hesitate in recommending the school. Once again, many thanks. Kerry Miller, Honors Graduate, July 2013 DON T PUT OFF ENROLLING ANY LONGER. 4 Medical Transcription Testimonials CanScribe s Medical Transcription course is excellent! Being able to study online was perfect for me. I found the course format easy to follow, and the staff and online forums helpful along the way. The course content prepared me well in terms of medical terminology, the medical record, computer skills, typing skills, transcription hints, and grammar and punctuation editing. The reports I completed throughout the course and practicum were a necessary and helpful part of feeling very prepared for the work force after graduation. I completed the course and started working from home the next day! My hours are very flexible, and the work itself is so interesting; it is a great fit for me. I would highly recommend CanScribe to anyone who wanted to pursue a career in this field. Sharla McHarg, High Honors Graduate, April 2013 I found the course to be informative and fun. I also was very happy that I could attend classes and ask questions on my own schedule. Being able to get a diploma and a new career in one year was great. I studied when I wasn't working outside the home and proved to my children that with determination and a good education many doors can open for you. The instructors were quick to reply to my s and calls with helpful information and insight. I also experienced the compassion and caring of the instructors during my time with CanScribe when issues at home threatened to derail my education goal. Thank you CanScribe for giving me a new career. I was hired within weeks of graduation. Nicole Boorman, High Honors Graduates, May 2013 I wanted to take a few minutes and send a big THANK YOU to all the staff at CanScribe Career College. It was over a year ago that I decided to take a course to learn how to be a medical transcriptionist and looked into CanScribe Career College (for the second time) and this time I am very grateful I finally went ahead and enrolled at CanScribe. Today I am working as a medical transcriptionist (online) and truly enjoying it, after successfully graduating from CanScribe. I am still amazed to think I was hired within one week of applying to the company I am working for now. I am certain this would not have happened if it were not due to CanScribe's recognized credentials as a top Medical Transcription School. The company I am working for is in Australia so it seems CanScribe's reputation is internationally recognized. Two years ago I passed on CanScribe (thinking their tuition was too high) and chose a lesser known school with a lesser tuition fee. I spent nine months completing their course, graduating with honours, excited to start my new career, but didn't get one employment offer from any of the transcription services I applied to. It was heartbreaking to think I had spent almost one year completing the other school's medical transcription course and no one was interested in hiring me. I applied to many transcription services along the way but no one offered me employment. That was two years ago. Then I enrolled in CanScribe Career College and I am working today - just as they said I would. They supported me with my 101+ questions during the course - just as they said they would. And they are still supporting me today after becoming a medical transcriptionist - just as they said they would. They said they would always be there to support me and I feel they will - just as they said they would. I am a little late at saying this and writing this letter but thank you. I am truly grateful. I would like others to know that CanScribe Career College will support them from the beginning of their course, to the end of their course, and getting employed after their course if they choose to enroll. Bernadette Kropp, Honors Graduate, June 2013

5 Testimonials continued... As someone who was always interested in the medical field and living in a small community where there are not many opportunities, Medical Transcription was something I was very interested in. At times it was overwhelming, but the end result is just amazing Working from home, and working your own hours. The course was very straight forward and easy to follow. The team at CanScribe are very helpful, will assist you with any questions you have and encourage you to keep going. I would recommend this program to anyone. Kathleen Degenhardt, MT Honors Graduate, May 2013 When the company that I had worked for 21+ years was downsizing I started planning for my next career. I was researching to do a course that would help me work from home and, at the same time, provide an engaging and lasting career. Given the statistics on a worldwide ageing population, Medical Transcription appeared to be the right career choice. My quest led me to quite a few colleges offering the Medical Transcription Program. However, the one that stood out was Can- Scribe Career College, partly because of the unique Practicum included as successful completion of the course. I signed up for it, and here is what I experienced. The Medical Transcription Program offered by CanScribe was set up perfectly. It was a very exciting and challenging course, very demanding, and very rewarding. It was an opportunity to learn something new every day. I got immediate results on my report submissions, as well as tests and term exams. Student-friendly chat sessions and forums were available, where I could interact with other students and learn from my peers. The Instructors were very experienced and extremely helpful. They were always very encouraging and supportive, and they constantly inspired me to stay on track to reach my goal. At the end of the course, the Practicum provided an opportunity to transcribe real life reports and get immediate feedback from an experienced and dedicated QA Editor. This support mechanism will continue to be available to me for as long as I need it. That is just priceless! I found out early in the program that CanScribe was well recognized in the medical transcription field, and when I experienced this, the effect on me was just overwhelming. I was amazed that just a few days after I completed my Practicum and submitted my application to one of the large Medical Transcription Service Providers in Canada, I received an immediate response. I was offered a contract the same day; I signed it and got my first job as a medical transcriptionist! That was awesome! Thanks so much to the Admissions Manager for convincing me into signing up for this program. Thanks to everyone in Student Services as well for all the support, help and advice throughout the course. I want to take this opportunity to thank all the Instructors who were constantly available to provide invaluable guidance and advice. More importantly, I offer my sincere thanks to the outstanding Instructor who was my QA during the Practicum. She encouraged, instructed, advised, and guided me through the period when I did my Pracitcum and final examination. Thank you all for helping me successfully launch my new career. 6 Testimonials continued... "My experience with CanScribe has been a challenging but wonderful one. I was looking into an alternative career that would give me the option to work from home and I am glad I chose to take it with CanScribe. The course is presented in a wellorganized manner, supplemented with online classroom sessions that will answer every question you may have, give you tips on how to continue effectively with your lessons, and the chance to be exposed to the speech recognition platform. The Practicum is arranged for you and I was blessed with the most wonderful, always available, and very helpful QA, who is my mentor up to now. The staff have been excellent; always available when you need them and encouraging you when you feel that you can't finish the course. I truly appreciate the fact that, even after graduating, the staff are still there to answer any questions and offer advice. I graduated in June and was offered 2 jobs 2 weeks later, despite being a newbie. Thank you to CanScribe for making me well prepared to face the challenges of the MT working world. I will always be proud to be a graduate of CanScribe and to recommend the school to anyone interested in being a Medical Transcriptionist. Anabeth Sakhrani, MT Graduate, June 2013 What employers are saying I must tell you that your graduates are fantastic. Really amazing. The best that we have seen. GTS M*Modal hires a number of new graduates each year, many successful graduates coming from the CanScribe Program. Can- Scribe graduates tend to score very high on our on-line test. This is a testimony to the course content, as well as the intensive practicum portion of the course which seems to prepare these graduates well for a live working environment. M*Modal CanScribe graduates make up a significant portion of our ongoing, weekly, hiring program. Accentus has had great success working closely with CanScribe in placing students throughout transcription accounts, from coast to coast. CanScribe graduates are well educated and equipped to realize a smooth transition into the working world of providing remote transcription support. Nuance SwiftCharts is Canadian owned, operated and founded by two of CanScribe's own graduates. SwiftCharts will give greater consideration of employment to CanScribe grads as we at SwiftCharts believe that CanScribe offers a highly regarded Medical Transcription Program and stays current with issues Medical Transcriptionists face on a day-to-day basis.
