17 Notification of the Existence Purpose of PIRCs as required in NCLB Title I, Part(a), section 1118(g) (electronic version for district school distribution at ) 17 The FL PIRC of FND: Is federally funded under Title V of No Child Left Behind. Is funded to provide services from Works h-in-h with State Federal Programs to provide information resources on early childhood through high school parent involvement. The Purpose of the FL PIRC of FND is to: Help implement successful effective parental involvement policies, programs, activities that lead to improvements in student academic achievement. Strengthen partnerships among parents, teachers, principals, administrators, other school personnel in meeting the educational needs of children. The Priorities of the FL PIRC of FND are to: Collaborate with State local educational agencies to foster the implementation of the parental involvement requirements of Title I. Provide assistance to schools districts to address the parental involvement requirements of Title I. Provide accurate, timely, understable information regarding key NCLB provisions. Provide Statewide services. Help implement effective parental involvement policies, programs, activities that will improve children's academic Achievement; develop strengthen partnerships among parents (including parents of children from birth through age five), teachers, principals, administrators, other school personnel in meeting the educational needs of children. Develop strengthen the relationship between parents their children's school. Further the developmental progress of children assisted under the program. Coordinate activities funded under the program with parental involvement initiatives funded under section 1118 other provisions of the Elementary Secondary Education Act of 1965, as amended (ESEA). Provide a comprehensive approach to improving student learning, through coordination integration of Federal, State, local services programs.
