3 INTRODUCTION 3 Since the YESHUA SOCIETY s formation in 2012 with the establishment of our first house church at the Abbey Meadows (formerly the Orleans) apartment complex on Indianapolis near-east side, Christ has used the ministry to bring hope to the impoverished in inner city Indianapolis. People have been saved and ministered to in a variety of ways. Today we re praying that churches and individual Christians will join us as ministry volunteers and financial supporters as we serve at three Indianapolis house churches, our new Christian school and a pilot youth center/mentoring program. In addition we are associated with World Renewal Brasil, a church planting ministry in northeastern Brazil, one of the poorest areas of that country; we are building a Christian news website that is scheduled to launch by the fourth quarter of 2014; and we are training Brazil mission teams and churches about ministering to people in poverty.

6 ABOUT US 6 The YESHUA SOCIETY is a Christ-centered compassion ministry that serves and develops avenues of escape for people impacted by physical, emotional, academic, financial and spiritual poverty with a focus on inner city Indianapolis crime-stricken neighborhoods and the northeastern part of the country of Brazil. We are a Shepherd Community Development Corporation non-profit organization and a church planting ministry of Brookville Road Community Church. Our school partner, Columbus Christian School, is a fully-accredited learning institution. 8 OUR STATEMENT OF FAITH 8 The YESHUA SOCIETY believes: The Bible is the inspired, infallible Word of God; the final authority in all matters of faith and conduct. There is one God, eternally existent in three persons: Father, Son and Holy Spirit. In Jesus Christ: His deity, virgin birth, sinless life, vicarious death, burial and bodily resurrection, His ascension to the right hand of the Father and His personal future return in power and glory. The sinfulness of man and salvation only by grace through faith in the shed blood of Christ. The present ministry of the Holy Spirit by whose indwelling the Christian is enabled to live a godly life. The resurrection of the dead, the believer to life everlasting and the unbeliever to the resurrection of judgment. The church as the Body of Christ, for which He will return, as composed of all who have accepted the redemption provided in Him.

9 WHERE WE PRIMARILY WORK 9 INNER CITY INDIANAPOLIS There s a war going on in Indianapolis every day. Many people who reside in the metropolitan area don t think much about it because it doesn t impact them. They don t live in or venture into the war zone which has expanded over the years to the 46 th Street area on the north, the 30 th Street area on the south and from German Church Road on the east to almost Interstate 465 on the west. Plus there are isolated war zone pockets adjacent to and near the larger battlefield. They do shake their heads in disgust, though, when they view television news stories about the murder, criminal gangs, teenagers killing teenagers, drug dealers, domestic violence, abused women and children, and poverty that s there. Perhaps after viewing the stories they think to themselves, I m glad I don t have to live in those neighborhoods and interact with those people. J.B. does live there. A Christian who served in the Vietnam war, he stopped by our house church at the Abbey Meadows Apartments (the former Orleans apartments near the war zone) saying he heard we helped people. J.B. said he was just released from the hospital after drug dealers had shot him five times because he witnessed a drug deal. The shooters also murdered his roommate. Police advised J.B. not to return to his apartment because the drug dealers would be watching for him to return. All of his possessions were at the apartment. He said the only thing he had were the clothes on his back, then he added he was only shot two times in the other war, meaning Vietnam. He didn t expect to be wounded and lose a friend in another war, especially not one in the city where he lives.

10 WHERE WE PRIMARILY WORK (Continued) 10 M.N. is a resident of an apartment complex where we have a house church. The single mom has been abused as a child and adult. She has fought depression for many years. Now she and her daughter want out. Also a Christian, M.N. attends our once-a-week meal and Bible study at the house church. Recently M.N. thanked Jesus for helping in her battle with depression and our ministry workers for their support. She said she s ready to begin finding a way out of poverty and get a job. In addition, she wants to join our ministry team and help others impacted by violence, drugs and alcohol in and near the war zone. F.S. is a 15-year-old who has grown up in the war zone. What she has learned there has demented her understanding of right and wrong and sexuality. However, after coming to several of our once-a-week meals and Bible studies she asked what she had to do to get to heaven. After hearing the answer she accepted Jesus. J.B., M.N. and F.S. are among the hundreds of people our Christ-centered ministry has been able to interact with the past two years through providing Bible studies, community days, meals, furniture, clothing, bus transportation to church on Sundays, tutoring for school children, school uniforms, rides to the doctor and work, hospital visits, fishing in the suburbs, trips to museums and Celebrate Recovery, and prayer. Jesus is using us in and near Indianapolis war zone to reach the lost and bolster those who have accepted Him because they re far more than an afterthought following a television news story.

14 HOUSE CHURCHES (Continued) 14 The YESHUA SOCIETY, under the authority of Brookville Road Community Church, establishes house churches in poverty-stricken areas where the Gospel can be proclaimed and demonstrated. Activities include meals, Bible studies, a furniture ministry and tutoring for school-aged children. In addition, a jobs network and potentially temporary housing are being planned which will be part of efforts to help residents who desire to move from tough neighborhoods and start a better life for themselves and their families in a new place. Current house churches are in the following locations: Abbey Meadows A 110-unit apartment complex for families near Shadeland Avenue and Washington Street. Linwood Manor A 28-unit apartment complex at Linwood and Washington Streets for former homeless military veterans. Yeshua Society Christian School For our students families, meets at Shepherd Community Church of the Nazarene, 4109 East Washington Street.

16 YESHUA SOCIETY CHRISTIAN SCHOOL (Continued) 16 Education is a key to breaking the cycle of poverty. Young people should be able to obtain a quality education in a safe environment. Also, they should be allowed to learn Biblical truths so they can build a Christian foundation for success. The YESHUA SOCIETY is establishing satellite locations of Columbus Christian School at Indianapolis-area churches that will utilize a blended live teaching and Internet-based curriculum. Our first school for children in grades 1-4 is at Shepherd Community Church of the Nazarene, 4109 East Washington Street. Plans call for the establishment of additional schools beginning in the school year. 18 YOUTH CENTERS/MENTORING PROGRAM (Continued) 18 The Yeshua Society is developing the framework and supporting sponsorship for a youth center/mentoring program for high school students from inner city Indianapolis with a focus on the near-east side. Plans call for a program start during the first quarter of PROGRAM/EDUCATION PLATFORM, COMPONENTS Participating youth will be equipped to lead Christ-centered, disciplined lives and be introduced to spiritual, cultural, sports and career events and opportunities via a 20-week curriculum that will include the following. Christianity 101 Studies will present the basics of Christianity with a focus on Luke 9:23, John 3:16, Matthew 22: (Greatest Commandment), Matthew 28:18-20 (Great Commission) and Biblicalsupported coursework on how to be a real man and woman. Business internship School tutoring Sessions with community and business leaders Volunteer days at Shepherd Community Center and at participating program churches Pacers and/or Colts games Indianapolis Museum of Art and Creation Museum visits Outdoor event Introductions to healthy eating and cooking, music, management of money Graduation ceremony

19 YOUTH CENTERS/MENTORING PROGRAM (Continued) 19 Two key components to the program s success will be the establishment of youth centers and the participation of youth mentors. Both will enable long-term interaction and relationship development beyond the 20-week curriculum for youths who are selected for it and for youths who do not take the curriculum. Our planned pilot youth center is at Colorado and New York streets. 21 WORLD RENEWAL BRASIL (Continued) 21 The YESHUA SOCIETY is a ministry partner of World Renewal Brasil, a poverty-fighting and church planting organization in northeastern Brazil, one of the poorest regions of the country. In addition to the more than 20 churches it has launched, World Renewal Brasil includes the International School and the SBNE Northeast Biblical Seminary in the city of Carpina and the Living Stones children s ministry. Among the Yeshua Society s supportive initiatives is poverty ministry training for church plants pastors, leaders and short-term missions teams from the United States. Also, the Yeshua Society is working to help World Renewal Brasil obtain an 80-plus acre, dormant youth camp near the city of Racife, part of which is pictured below.

22 YESHUASOCIETY.ORG 22 As the United States and the state of Indiana become more secularized, there are few places where Christians can go to get a Biblical-perspective on current events. Thus, the YESHUA SOCIETY in conjunction with Shepherd Community Development Corporation is developing the Christian news website, yeshuasociety.org. The news site will have an Indiana focus and feature reports and opinions from Biblebelieving church leaders and lay people. The site will also encourage Christians to join mission fields in the state where poverty and crime are prevalent. yeshuasociety.org is scheduled to launch by the fourth quarter of 2014.
