Cooperative network for developing and sharing Smart City evolutionary test-beds at national level Research Scientific Bodies Research & Education Demo s Product Innovation Business models Technology development Enterprises Additional social stakeholders Systemic Architectural Framework Evolutionary Test-Bed Technological transfer Policy support Public Bodies 9

Smart City territorial joint ventures Connected cooperative actions for territorial development: Shared structures for research/innovation participated by enterprises, Universities and Research bodies Specific Public Administration structures to support their innovation actions, by exploiting also specific and pre-competitive co-operation with University, Research bodies, Enterprises and Social communities Territorial development of Living Labs to locally ground, participate and qualify innovation processes, by making end-users participating too 10

Research and innovation with Enterprises Companies SMEs Joint structures for research and innovation Financial support Cooperation with University and Research bodies in strategic research programmes and for tuned courses. Joint promotion of international co-operation Drivers in short circuits for innovation Exploiting creativity & fast innovation Local laboratories or centres participated by networked Enterprises, Universities and Research bodies Joint valuing human resources for common knowledge capitalization Virtuous connection with territorial Living Labs Involvement of public and private investors Local, regional national and european supporting policies Financial services for venture capital (start-up) 11

Territorial development of Living Labs (L.L.) A Living-Lab typically constitutes an experiential environment where users are immersed in a creative social space for sustaining anticipatory design and validation of innovations aimed at Smart City living. Industrial innovation Supporting user and stakeholders participation in industrial innovation processes in a liveable experimental environment. P. A. Innovation Supporting user and stakeholders participation in P. A. innovation processes. Innovating professional and craftsmanship abilities Socio-cultural evolution Open demonstrative assets Supporting competence evolution and new experiential, professional creative spaces opened for innovation. Supporting access to cultural and social lived experiences, to extend awareness of innovation processes. Demonstration of quality and liveability of innovative products, services and habitats, to contribute to territorial promotion in a glo-cal context. 12

P. A. Innovation Wedging Body (PAIW) A specific P. A. body, cooperating with external actors, is needed to promote, address and sustain the development of innovation processes inside and through the P. A. Important objectives: enhancing internal skills, culture and organization for proper and fast exploitation of innovation. 13
