14 OEDIT Support of Longmont Overall OEDIT Funding : 1/1/11 to 6/30/13 almost $2 Million Business Funding and Incentives: 19 businesses received Credit Enhancements and Job Training Grants totaling $1.8M between Jan 2011 and June Small Business Development Center: from January 1, 2011 to March clients received consulting resulting in, 136 jobs created, 104 jobs retained, $2.6M in capital formation and $2.6M in increased sales. Office of International Trade, Export Assistance: Two Longmont COs received Export Development Grants & consulting in past 18 months to help sell products overseas; advanced manufacturing company in Australia & outdoor rec. company in Columbia. Colorado Creative Industries Grants, 9 different non profit and government agencies received 14 different grants totaling $86,496. Includes $18,000 for Downtown Longmont Development Authority Prospective Creative District Development. 14
15 Flood Recovery for Businesses Small Business Development Center (SBDC): Free counseling, help with applications to FEMA, SBA and other funding Sources Community Development Block Grant Disaster Recovery (CDBG DR) Loans and Grants from HUD See Action Plan: dr/ Applications available online (targeted next few weeks) Small Grants and Concessionary Loans available to businesses who suffered substantial economic harm and can demonstrate un met needs SBDC will help with application and supporting materials 15
