1 Technical Bibliography on Use of Fall Cone for Determining Undrained Shear Strength and Atterberg Limits of Fine-Grained Soils prepared by Alan J. Lutenegger, P.E., PhD. The Fall Cone Test is used extensively throughout the world to determine the Liquid Limit, Plastic Limit and Undrained Shear Strength of fine-grained soils. The author has compiled a bibliography of the technical literature of papers pertinent to the Fall Cone Test that may be useful to engineers and researchers. If readers of this Bibliography are aware of other papers that are not included in this list, please the author at lutenegg@ecs.umass.edu 1
