1 TU Delft Register of Educational Programmes Academic year Approved by the Executive Board on Yearly before the 1st of October the Executive Board determines the TU Delft Register of Educational Programmes for the academic year following. The TU Delft Register of Educational Programmes lists all initial degree programmes and accredited postgraduate educational programmes of the TU Delft leading to TU Delft certificates. The initial programmes also include a list of tracks within these programmes and stipulates which tracks can present themselves as distinct programmes. The Register also includes an overview of approved joint education programmes: joint degree programmes and double degree programmes. It also provides information about second intake moments, Numerus Clausus and accredited or certified postgraduate programmes. The TU Delft Register is the source of different processes within the TU Delft, like (international) information, application and registration. Only tracks listed in the TU Delft Register will be mentioned on the degree certificate and supplement. The requirements of a track are: a. has several joint courses for all students following the track (so the track is not an individual specialisation); b. fits demonstrable within the final attainment levels of the Master s programme; c. has a minimum annual intake of 20 students; d. appeals to new student audiences. 6 3. Joint Education Programmes In international contexts, the term joint education programme is used for programmes provided jointly by more than one institution of higher education. TU Delft distinguishes two kinds of joint education: joint degrees and double (or multiple) degrees. A joint degree programme is an accredited programme, which leads to one degree with a single degree certificate from all institutions involved. All institutions are equally responsible for the programme. The programme has a joint set of Teaching & Examination Regulations (OER), a joint Board of Examiners, a joints Board of Studies and a joint quality control system. A double (or multiple) degree programme leads to two (or multiple) degree certificates. Formally TU Delft is responsible only for that part of the programme that leads to the degree certificate of TU Delft. Presenting tracks distinctly can be desirable under certain circumstances. It may be allowed by the board only if the track fulfils at least one of these requirements: a. The track focusses on international intake of students; b. There is no directly related Bachelor s degree programme within the TU Delft; c. There are actual intentions to convert the track to an accredited Master s degree programme within near future (after approval of the Executive Board, Ministry of Education, Culture and Science and NVAO). The name of the Master s degree programme registered in CROHO should always be mentioned explicitly to inform prospective students about the degree they will receive.
