8 HCA Physician Services Case Study This client was faced with typical chart storage issues, migrating to the ecw platform and challenges processing complete release of information requests. HealthPort managed the transition of data and provides ROI services. DCS provided on-site purge and transport to KC processing center Older records stored/active records scanned per client specification Scanned records delivered to client through our VNA New ROI services delivered remotely with electronic access to ecw and legacy records Client has standardization of records, needed content in ecw, recaptured space for offices and assurance of complete ROI responses with no internal staff used.
9 Jay County Hospital Case Study Small Indiana Hospital recently renovated their facility and installed a new EHR. They had limited room for older medical records and administration desired an electronic solution. HealthPort staff transported records to our KC processing center Charts are scanned and indexed for high degree of retrievability Images provided in a pdf format for import to client EHR system All retrievals during the project are processed electronically Client reclaims 1,500 square feet of space for hospital use with successful application of federal funds toward complete EHR implementation.
10 Winchester Cardiology This client delayed planning their EMR transition and faced significant challenges getting patient information into the new system. HealthPort DCS provided on-site scanning with remote indexing and uploading directly to their new EMR. During 90 days of transition: The practice was able to keep scheduled appointments Significant space was recaptured Practice was able to accurately determine ongoing medical records staffing needs. Despite being called 10 days prior to go-live, DCS was able to assist this Virginia practice to keep their EMR implementation as scheduled without experiencing financial harm from canceling appointments.
