The fiber transceiver shall provide the ability simultaneous transmission of 1-ch POTS or PBX telephone signal with one DIP selectable data (RS-422/RS-485/Manchester/Biphase) over one fiber. The transceiver shall be available in multimode and single-mode versions. B. The fiber transmitter and receiver shall have a stand-alone and rack-mountable modular design. Proj. Name/Proj. 2 1.4 SUBMITTALS A. Submittals shall be made in accordance with the Conditions of Contract and provisions of Section [ ]. B. Manufacturer s Product Data: Submit manufacturer s datasheets, user and installation manuals for all equipment and software programs proposed for use. C. Shop Drawings: Submit the installation drawings, including the wiring diagram, list of connected equipment, and system device locations on the architectural floor plan layout. 1.5 QUALITY ASSURANCE A. Manufacturer: Manufacturers shall have a minimum of ten (10) years full time experience in manufacturing and designing Video Surveillance Systems. B. The product shall be manufactured by a firm whose quality system is in compliance with the I.S./ISO 9001:2008 Quality System. C. Installer: Installers shall have a minimum of two (2) years experience in installing similar systems and shall be acceptable to the manufacturer of the system. 1.6 DELIVERY, STORAGE AND HANDLING A. Packing and Shipping: The products shall be delivered in manufacturer s original, unopened, undamaged container with identification labels intact. B. Storage and Protection: The products shall be stored and handled in accordance with manufacturer s requirements in facility where environmental conditions are within recommended limits. 1.7 WARRANTY A. The manufacturer s warranty shall cover three (3) years for replacement and repair of defective equipment. 1.8 MAINTENANCE A. Ordering of new equipment for expansions, replacements, and spare parts shall be made available to dealers and end users. B. Factory direct technical support shall be provided via phone and . Proj. The fiber transceiver shall provide the ability simultaneous transmission of 1-ch POTS or PBX telephone signal with one DIP selectable data (RS-422/RS-485/Manchester/Biphase) over one fiber. The transceiver shall be available in multimode and single-mode versions. B. The fiber transceiver shall have a stand-alone and rack-mountable modular design. C. Rack mount card units shall have short circuit protection with Printed Circuit Board (PCB) mounted automatic re-settable fuses; "Hot" swapping capability - installation or removal with power on; built in circuitry for power supply redundancy. D. The fiber transceiver shall be immune to Electro Magnetic Interference (EMI) and Radio Frequency Interference (RFI). E. 5 PART 3 - EXECUTION 3.1 EXAMINATION A. Examine site conditions and notify adverse conditions affecting installation or subsequent operation. B. Do not begin installation until unacceptable conditions are corrected. 3.2 INSTALLATION A. All systems and components shall have been thoroughly tested before shipping to the project location. B. Install the systems in accordance with the manufacturer s recommended procedures. C. Perform installation with qualified service personnel. D. Ensure selected location is secure and offers protection from accidental damage. E. Location must provide reasonable temperature and humidity conditions, free from sources of electrical and electromagnetic interference. 3.3 FIELD QUALITY CONTROL A. Test snugness of mounting screws of all installed equipment. B. Test proper operations of the device. C. Determine and report all problems encountered to the manufacturer. 3.4 COMMISSIONING A. Test the device as recommended by the manufacturer. B. Ensure the device operates to manufacturer s specifications. C. Provide related documentations, including but not limited to the Operation and Installations Manuals. 3.5 DEMONSTRATION A. Demonstrate at final inspection that the device functions properly.
