Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist Position Description: The Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist performs anesthesia management of patients undergoing surgical, diagnostic or therapeutic procedures and airway management or cardiopulmonary resuscitation in collaboration with physicians and other Licensed Professionals. Administers epidural medication for pain management as ordered by the physician. Performs only those services allowed by South Dakota law. A Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist is available on site from approximately M-F and shares a rotation of on-call shifts 24 hours a day. Qualifications: Graduate of an accredited registered nurse anesthetist program approved by the American Association of Nurse Anesthetists. Licensed and currently registered as a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist in the State of South Dakota. There are 16 Huron-based physicians on staff providing a broad range of medical and surgical specialties. As one of the top employers in the community, HRMC has more than 300 employees.
