1 CIRCUS CIRCUS HOTEL AND CASINO RENO NEW YEAR S EVE VIP GETAWAY SWEEPSTAKES OFFICIAL RULES: CIRCUS CIRCUS HOTEL AND CASINO RENO NEW YEAR S EVE VIP GETAWAY SWEEPSTAKES ( Sweepstakes ) starts at 12:00:01 a.m. Pacific Time ( PT ) on October 1, 2010 and ends at 11:59:59 p.m. PT on December 1, 2010 ( Entry Period ) for on-line entry. The sponsor of this Sweepstakes is Circus Circus Casinos, Inc. d/b/a Circus Circus Hotel and Casino Reno, 500 North Sierra Street, Reno, Nevada, (the Sponsor ). Participation in the Sweepstakes constitutes an entrant s full and unconditional agreement to these Official Rules and Sponsor s decisions which, subject to NRS , are final and binding in all matters related to the Sweepstakes. Certain restrictions apply. ELIGIBILITY: NO PURCHASE IS NECESSARY TO ENTER OR WIN. You must be a legal resident of the 50 United States or the District of Columbia and be twenty-one (21) years of age or older at the time of entry to be eligible to win. Employees of Sponsor and each of its parent companies, subsidiaries, affiliates, and advertising, promotion, and fulfillment agencies, and the immediate families of each of the above and those living in the household of same are ineligible to participate, or win a prize, in this Sweepstakes. All applicable federal, state and local laws and regulations apply. Sweepstakes is void outside of the 50 United States and the District of Columbia, and wherever prohibited or restricted by law. STEP 1: Fill in the presented entry form in its entirety as directed in order to be eligible, then click on the Submit button. [Note: By providing your mobile telephone number on the entry form, you will not automatically be enrolled into Sponsor s (or any other party s) mobile texting programs.] STEP 2: To ensure the security of your information, an will be sent to the address provided with a link to activate your Guestbook. Only after you activate your Guestbook account are you eligible for the drawing. To be eligible, your online entry must be received by Sponsor by 11:59:59 p.m. PT on December 1, 2010, and your corresponding Guestbook account must be activated, by 11:59:59 p.m. PT on December 1, Limit one (1) entry (and one Guestbook account) per address. Limit one (1) person per address. Limit one (1) entry per person per day. For purposes of these Official Rules, a day is defined as a 24-hour period that commences at 12:00:01 a.m. PT. If you want to enter the Sweepstakes more than once, you must provide a separate address and activate a separate, corresponding Guestbook account for each entry. Sponsor is not responsible for technical, hardware, software, computer, telephone, or other communication failures of

2 any kind, lost or unavailable network connections, or failed, incomplete, garbled, or delayed computer transmissions which may limit or interfere with a participant s ability to take part in the Sweepstakes. Entries that are lost, late, misdirected, illegible, incomplete, unreadable, damaged, destroyed, delayed, tampered with, incomprehensible, forged, stolen, inaccurate or otherwise not in compliance with these Official Rules will be disqualified. In addition, Sponsor shall not be responsible for any damage to any computer or other property resulting from participating in, or downloading any materials for, this Sweepstakes. WINNER SELECTION: There will be a total of one (1) winner determined by a random drawing from among all eligible entries received to be held on or about December 2, 2010 by representatives of Sponsor. In the event the potential winner does not qualify for or is not willing to accept the prize, there will be an alternate winner randomly selected from among the remaining eligible entries. All decisions of Sponsor are final and binding. Odds of winning depend upon the total number of eligible entries received. PRIZE: One (1) prize will be awarded. The winner will receive a Mini Suite for winner and a guest at Circus Circus Hotel and Casino Reno for three (3) consecutive nights / four (4) days (evenings of stay are December 30, 2010, December 31, 2010 and January 1, 2011) (approximate retail value ( ARV ): $600), two (2) tickets to the New Year s Eve Bash held in the Mandalay Ballroom at Circus Circus Hotel and Casino Reno (ARV: $200), buffet brunch for winner and a guest for two (2) days (ARV: $50) (gratuities not included). The total ARV of the prize is $850. Actual value of the prize may vary based on hotel rate fluctuations and other factors. Prize excludes airfare (and other transportation) to/from Reno, Nevada. Unless otherwise indicated herein, all expenses and travel costs including, but not limited to, all transportation, meals, excursions, gratuities, incidentals, surcharges, service or facility charges, personal charges at hotel, taxes or other expenses, are the sole responsibility of the winner. Winner is responsible for reporting and payment of all taxes and fees associated with prize receipt and/or use. Winner will be required to provide a valid, major credit card upon check-in to cover any incidental expenses. Prize subject to availability. No changes may be made by winner to prize dates. No substitution or cash equivalent of prizes granted except at Sponsor s sole option. Sponsor reserves the right to substitute a prize (or an element of a prize) for one of equal or greater retail value if the designated prize (or element of a prize) is unavailable for any reason. No prize transfers permitted. PRIZES ARE AWARDED AS IS AND WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND EXPRESSED OR IMPLIED. NOTIFICATION OF WINNER: The potential prize winner will be notified by and/or telephone. If the potential prize winner cannot be reached within five (5) business days (i.e., Monday thru Friday excluding any United States or State of Nevada holidays), selected winner may be required (in Sponsor s sole discretion) to forfeit the prize, in which case, another eligible entry will be randomly selected from among the remaining eligible entries and another potential prize winner will be notified. Time permitting (as determined in Sponsor s sole discretion), subsequent eligible entries will be drawn as

3 provided for above until an eligible prize winner is reached and such eligible prize winner has submitted and returned all necessary documents as provided for herein. Winner must show valid state issued driver s license or other identification as evidence of identity. LIABILITY RELEASE AND PUBLICITY RELEASE: Prize winner will be required to complete, execute and send back to Sponsor s marketing department (as directed) a liability release and a publicity release within five (5) days of issuance or an alternate winner may be selected. These documents will be sent to the potential winner via Federal Express overnight mail and will include a postage paid envelope to send back the documents. In addition, the prize winner s guest must be twenty-one (21) years of age or older at the time of winner notification and will be required to execute and return a release of liability within this same time period. Failure to comply with these requirements will cause the prize to be forfeited. LIMITATIONS ON LIABILITY: Releasees are not responsible for: (1) any incorrect or inaccurate information, whether caused by entrants, printing errors or by any of the equipment or programming associated with or utilized in the Sweepstakes; (2) technical failures of any kind, including, but not limited to malfunctions, interruptions, or disconnections in phone lines or network hardware or software; (3) unauthorized human intervention in any part of the entry process or the Sweepstakes; (4) technical or human error which may occur in the administration of the Sweepstakes or the processing of entries; (5) late, lost, undeliverable, damaged or stolen mail, or other correspondence; or (6) any injury or damage to persons or property which may be caused, directly or indirectly, in whole or in part, from entrant s participation in the Sweepstakes or receipt or use or misuse of any prize. Releasees shall not be liable to winner or any other person for failure to supply the prize or any part thereof, by reason of any acts of God, any action(s), regulations(s), order(s) or request(s) by any governmental or quasigovernmental entity (whether or not the action(s), regulations(s), order(s) or request(s)

4 prove(s) to be invalid), equipment failure, terrorist acts, earthquake, war, fire, flood, explosion, unusually severe weather, hurricane, embargo, labor dispute or strike (whether legal or illegal), labor or material shortage, transportation interruption of any kind, work slow-down, civil disturbance, insurrection, riot, or any other cause beyond Sponsor s sole control. Releasees shall not be responsible for any cancellations, delays, diversions or substitutions or any act or omissions whatsoever by the hotel(s), or other companies or any other persons providing any of the services and accommodations including any results thereof such as changes in services or accommodations necessitated by same. Releasees shall not be liable for any loss or damage to baggage. GENERAL: If for any reason this Sweepstakes is not capable of running as planned, or if this Sweepstakes or any web site associated therewith (or any portion thereof) becomes corrupted or does not allow the proper playing of the Sweepstakes and processing of entries in accordance with these rules, or if infection by computer virus, bugs, tampering, unauthorized intervention, actions by entrants, fraud, technical failures, or any other causes, in the Sponsor s sole opinion, corrupts or affects the administration, security, fairness, integrity, or proper conduct of this Sweepstakes, the Sponsor reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to disqualify any individual implicated in such action and/or to cancel, terminate, modify, or suspend this Sweepstakes or any portion thereof. In the event this Sweepstakes is cancelled, terminated, modified or suspended, the Sponsor will conduct a random drawing to award the prize from among all eligible, non-suspect entries received prior to and/or after the time of the action or event warranting such cancellation, termination, modification or suspension, or Sponsor will select the winner in such manner deemed fair and appropriate by Sponsor in its sole discretion. If such cancellation, termination, modification, or suspension occurs, notification will be posted at the Entry Site. In no event will more than the stated number of prizes be awarded. ANY ATTEMPT BY AN ENTRANT OR ANY OTHER INDIVIDUAL TO DELIBERATELY DAMAGE ANY WEB SITE (INCLUDING THE ENTRY SITE) OR UNDERMINE THE LEGITIMATE OPERATION OF THE SWEEPSTAKES IS A VIOLATION OF CRIMINAL AND/OR CIVIL LAWS AND SHOULD SUCH AN ATTEMPT BE MADE, THE SPONSOR RESERVES THE RIGHT TO SEEK DAMAGES AND OTHER REMEDIES FROM ANY SUCH PERSON TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW. If a dispute arises about who submitted an entry on the Entry Site, the entry will be deemed submitted by the authorized account holder of the account entered. The authorized account holder is deemed the natural person who is assigned to an address by an Internet access provider, service provider, or other online organization that is responsible for assigning addresses for the domain associated with the submitted address. A potential winner may be requested to provide the Sponsor with proof that the potential winner is the authorized account holder of the address associated with the winning entry and that all eligibility requirements are met. NOTE: Entry must be made by the entrant, only at the Entry Site. Entries made by any other individual or any entity, and/or originating at any other web site or address, including but not limited to commercial sweepstakes subscription notification and/or

5 entering service sites, will be declared invalid and disqualified for this Sweepstakes. The use of any device to automate the entry process is prohibited. DISPUTES: Except where prohibited, entrant agrees that: (1) any and all disputes, claims and causes of action arising out of or connected with this Sweepstakes or any prize awarded shall be resolved individually, without resort to any form of class action, and exclusively under NRS , or if determined by the Nevada Gaming Commission or Nevada State Gaming Control Board not to be subject to NRS , then by the United States District Court for the District of Nevada (Las Vegas) or the appropriate Nevada State Court located in Clark County, Nevada; (2) any and all claims, judgments and awards shall be limited to actual out-of-pocket costs incurred, including costs associated with entering this Sweepstakes, but in no event attorneys fees; and (3) under no circumstances will entrant be permitted to obtain awards for, and entrant hereby waives all rights to claim, indirect, punitive, incidental and consequential damages and any other damages, other than for actual out-of-pocket expenses, and any and all rights to have damages multiplied or otherwise increased. All issues and questions concerning the construction, validity, interpretation and enforceability of these Official Rules, or the rights and obligations of the entrant and Sponsor in connection with the Sweepstakes, shall be governed by, and construed in accordance with, the laws of the State of Nevada without giving effect to any choice of law or conflict of law rules (whether of the State of Nevada or any other jurisdiction), which would cause the application of the laws of any jurisdiction other than the State of Nevada.
