Senior United States Probation Officer February February 1992 Special Offender Specialist Responsible for the supervision and investigation of the District s special offender caseload, including large scale and sophisticated white collar criminals, outlaw motorcycle and gang members, organized crime offenders, including offenders under special jurisdiction of the United States Marshal Service and other cases of high notoriety, which posed a unique threat to the public safety. Served as in-house authority for staff and the court regarding the investigation and supervision of offenders in the District s special offender category. Served as lead officer in conducting complex presentence investigations into the history and background, the prior behavior patterns, and the character and make up of offenders. Supervised a caseload of special offender cases. Assisted in the development of sentencing guideline worksheets for organizational defendants. United States Probation Officer July 1978 February 1990 Conducted presentence investigation reports on defendants who plead guilty or were convicted of federal offenses. Supervised caseload of offenders by ensuring public safety through the monitoring and supervision of offenders conditionally released by the Court, the U.S. Parole Commission, or military authorities. Served as Spanish interpreter for non-english speaking offenders. Conducted prerelease investigations for the Bureau of Prisons. Adult Probation Office August July 1978 Served as a state probation officer for the Fourth Judicial District Adult Probation Department, Colorado Springs, Colorado. Conducted presentence investigation reports for District and County Court judges. Supervised offenders convicted of felony and misdemeanor offenses. Assisted in the development and implementation of internship programs. Served as special hearing officer for state parole. Denver Sheriff Department January August 1973 Worked as a Deputy Sheriff assigned to monitor the safety and care of inmates housed at the Denver County Jail.
