2 CDBG-R activities include a variety of community development projects including funding in the amount of $1,355,345 for rehabilitation of single and multi family residential units, infrastructure projects including $1 million for street improvements and $500,000 for sidewalks improvements in the Mid City NRSA,, $525,000 for demolitions citywide, $531,149 for a job training program, and $400,000 in funding for administration/delivery costs. During the 4th qtr -2010, $58,690 was drawn for single family rehabs & 7 units were completed. 4th qtr results for multi family rehabs reflect $61,088 drawn and 7 units completed. The Demolition project for 34 properties is 94% complete. A total of $525,000 has been funded in IDIS and $490,575 has been drawn down for demolitions. $916,906 was drawn down for street improvements. The street improvement contract is 91% complete and is now on hold during the winter months. Construction Work for sidewalk improvements is 69% complete. There were delays on the sidewalk contract due to coordination issues with National Grid (buried electric lines) which have been resolved. The sidewalk work will also be on hold during the winter months. The City selected the Buffalo Urban League to conduct its job training program and has executed this contract. There was a slight delay due to having to rebid a portion of the construction training subcontract. The Buffalo Urban League has revised its timeline and budget. Currently, they have 13 recruits.
