I started out in ICU, but now I oversee the "provision of care" in our physicians offices throughout 13 counties. We use the American Academy of Ambulatory Care Nurses Standards, while developing a Medical Home Pilot project for underserved seniors through implementation of a Medicare pay-forperformance mechanism called PQRI (Physician Quality Reporting Initiative). We also provide physician coaching on CPT coding. I want to teach to be able to give back to the profession I love some much.
