Standard Withdrawal and Re-entry policies, procedures and fees may apply to military personnel when deployed. See Re-Entry in the catalog. 6. Students participating in the Military Tuition Scholarship program are eligible for Title IV funds, but should be advised from accepting funding that exceed program charges. Students participating in the Military Tuition Scholarship program are not eligible for additional tuition scholarship programs. Immediate family members, however, are eligible for the Family Education Tuition Scholarship. Madison and Minneapolis Media Institute Family Education Tuition Scholarship Madison and Minneapolis Media Institute recognizes the challenges families face when multiple members decide to attend college together. In order to provide additional financial assistance to families with multiple members attending Madison and Minneapolis Media Institute together, the Family Education Tuition Scholarship is available. The amount of this scholarship is 10% of total tuition costs for each family member that attends the college. Current and newly enrolled students may apply for scholarship, but the scholarship only applies to remaining unbilled tuition. The following eligibility criteria and steps must be met: 1. Applicable to immediate family members only (father, mother, son, daughter, brother, sister, stepchildren, spouses, and grandparents/grandchildren) of an attending student, enrolling student, or graduate. 2. Recipients may attend different Madison and Minneapolis Media Institute College campuses. 5. To apply, enrolling and/or current students must complete a Tuition Scholarship Application. This form is available through Admissions. This can be completed at any time prior to graduation of the recipient(s). Each family member must complete an application. 6. If all but one (1) family member drops or withdraws from the College, the earned scholarship completed will be applied, but any balance remaining will be forfeited by remaining student. 7. Students receiving Family Education Tuition Scholarship must be current on monthly payment plans for balances owed towards tuition. A student will not receive tuition scholarship until all monthly payments are current. The Catalog Supplement is part of the College Catalog & Student Handbook. Page 6 of 7
7 8. If the recipient petitions for a change in program, the tuition scholarship will adjust to a percentage of the new total tuition charges remaining for their program. On-Time Graduation Scholarship The On-Time Graduation Scholarships benefit was created to reward our students that graduate from Madison and Minneapolis Media Institute by reducing their indebtedness. For questions regarding the On-Time Graduation Scholarship, please see the Financial Aid Department. On-Time Graduation Students who successfully complete all coursework and graduate on time (the student s first/ original enrollment in a program) receive a graduation gift of $1,000 from Madison and Minneapolis Media Institute. On-Time Graduation Scholarship will be applied first to any remaining balance owed to Madison and Minneapolis Media Institute and any remaining credit balance after that will go to the graduate. The graduate may choose to apply the credit to their next Madison and Minneapolis Media Institute program, reduce their Federal student loan and/or have a check issued to them. To graduate on time, students must graduate on or before the Completion Date as defined in the student s enrollment agreement.
