MBA Student Handbook This section outlines the general structure of the MBA Program and how you get from the beginning of the program to the end, providing tips for success along the way. This is the plan - execution is your responsibility. The intensity of the program can be overwhelming to students who are also just arriving in Canada for the first time. But, every year the MBA Program graduates many successful students from the program. It is intense, but it can be done, and done well. Knowing what needs to be done, and the path to take, is a good place to start. This paragraph, and most of this handbook, was written by Jim Buckley and Kapil Bhamare - then MBA students in the 2012 class. Since then, Kapil graduated with his MBA with the Project Management stream and works with Stanley Black & Decker Inc. in Dubai; Jim graduated with the Research option and is working in a management position with the family business. More recent sections in the handbook have been contributed by MBA Team members. The Modules In module one, you will be required to take four core courses along with a class in Effective Communication. During module one, we will hold an information session to introduce the streams and elective courses. You will be asked to declare an area of focus the first week of classes in January. In module two, you will take three core courses, a course in Management Skills Development and you will choose a course related to your stream of study. This concentration course, chosen from a list of four, will round out the courses required for the second module. Please note that once your stream is chosen, this is a final decision. No changes in a stream are permitted after the first week of classes in January. In module three, you will take one core course and will choose four core business elective courses from amongst five. By the end of module three, you will have completed the core courses and be broken out into streams. Along with the Strategic Management course, students choosing the Research option will begin the research (7020) that will continue until the end of their MBA program. In module four, students in the ETM and GM streams* will work on the business- consulting project (7015) and complete the business plan (7011). Concurrently, students in PM streams will be taking four more concentration courses and the follow- up course in Management Skills Development II. IB students will be taking four more concentration courses, beginning work on the business plan (7011) and taking the follow- up Management Skills Development II course. In module five, IB students are off to complete a study abroad term in France over the next four months. They will submit their business plan (7011) at the end of Module 5 in September. PM students are taking part in the business- consulting project (7015) and completing the business plan (7011), while ETM and GM* students have returned to campus for the last 4 concentration courses and Management Skills Development II. A list of Important Dates and the Program Layout can be found in Appendix 1 and Appendix 2, while Appendix 3 contains a complete list of courses being offered during the year. *Note: GM students only have the option of taking the Business Consulting Project (7015) and completing the Business Plan (7011) in either Module 4 or 5. In this way, students can tailor their course selections to best match their career plan. 5

Key Features of the Program Individual Development Critical to the success of graduates is our program of Individual Development, as follows: MBA 7510 Effective Communication (Module 1) MBA 7511 Management Skills Development I (Module 2) MBA 7512 Management Skills Development II (Module 4 or Module 5) In addition to these credit courses; workshops and information sessions will be offered throughout the year to support your academic and career development. Professional development activities will cover topics such as those listed below. Module schedules will include time for these activities. Please note professional development is a required component of the program and necessary for completion and graduation. Diversity & Cultural Awareness Human Rights & the Positive Environment Beginner Excel Presentation Skills Resume Preparation Social Media Branding Streams, Study Abroad, Mentorship, and Business Consulting Projects/Internships Advanced Excel MS Project Career information sessions Cover letter preparation Interview skills, including a mock job interview Business Consulting Project for GM, PM, and ETM Streams (MBA 7015) These streams feature a mandatory business- consulting project where you implement the skills learned in the MBA Program. Employers range from large industry to small technology firms to entrepreneurial startups and social enterprises. Depending on the employers needs, students engage in a variety of internship projects, which have included: Reviewing project management practices and methodologies for improved effectiveness Preparing human resource management policies & procedures Investigating and assessing new business development opportunities Designing and implementing market expansion plans Conducting market feasibility studies and assessing industry best practices You must be in good academic standing by the end of Module 2 to participate (3.0 or higher). The consulting project period is typically 9 weeks long. To commence the business- consulting project, whether paid or unpaid, you will require permission to work in Canada. UNBSJ s International Student Advisor will provide guidance on applying for the necessary co- op work permit. You should begin this process no later than January 4, 2016 and submit your confirmation to the MBA Office no later than January 13,

Study Abroad for IB Stream The study abroad program, as an integral part of the International Business MBA curriculum, adds enormous value by providing insight into distant markets. By sharing accommodations and studying with North American and European consumers and business managers, our students get the diverse perspective and hands- on education needed to compete globally. In this stream, you will take European studies in France, while the North American stream of study is taught at UNB Saint John. The study abroad portion takes place during the final fall term, from September to December. As a result, your program will be 15 months in length, rather than 12. Fees for education abroad are paid through student tuition at UNB Saint John. You need only cover living and travel expenses. While abroad, you will study the equivalent of 10 credit hours at UNB Saint John. In France you will be taking 24 ECTS credits. Note that marking standards are not the same at all universities; therefore, you must familiarize yourself with the expectations at each educational institution. In Module 2, we will begin working on applications to study abroad programs and study visas for foreign countries. IB students will complete an International Business Plan (7011) as the final course requirement in September. You must be in good academic standing by the end of Module 2 (3.0 or higher) to participate in the study abroad program. The study abroad experience is mandatory for the IB stream. There is no Business- Consulting Project option for International Business stream students. If, for some reason, you are unable to study abroad, you will switch to the GM stream and you will not be able to complete a Business- Consulting Project. Note you must stay until the end of Module 2 the following year to complete the required stream core course in GM MBA 7503: Managing Organizations. This year there may be another exciting opportunity for a limited number of IB students. As of the year, our partner, The Burgundy School of Business in Dijon, has made it possible for UNB Saint John study abroad students to continue on and complete an MSc in one of the following five areas: MSc in Advanced Corporate Finance MSc in Global Marketing & Negotiation MSc in Global Entrepreneurship in Sustainable Tourism MSc in International Business Development MSc in Wine Management To learn more, contact your MBA Student Advisor Michelle Scott. The Mentorship Program One of the MBA Program s most powerful tools is a Mentorship Program in which business community members are matched with students from the program. This program provides you with that much- needed personal one- on- one link with the business community. Mentors are drawn from the ranks of Vice Presidents, CEOs, mid- level managers, and subject- matter experts. During Module 1, we ask you to think about what you would like to achieve during the mentoring relationship. By the end of Module 1, put these thoughts in writing by completing the Mentorship Program Application form (Appendix 4) and writing a letter of intent. Prospective mentors will interview students during Module 2 and choose the student who best fits what they have to offer. MBA students must be in good academic standing by the end of Module 1 (3.0 or higher) to participate in the mentorship program. Note, just as in a job interview, a successful match must be made in order for your mentorship opportunity to proceed. 7

Mentorship Program Student Guidelines This is a reference guide, containing information that you will require for your mentorship. Purpose and goals of the UNBSJ MBA Mentorship Program Expand your professional network Further develop communication and networking skills Provide a forum where academic concepts can be discussed and practiced Gain valuable business lessons from professionals and business leaders that are doing it Increase knowledge of a specific industry and profession Improve readiness for entry into the work force Provide career guidance Process Please note: this mentorship program is not a job placement service Complete application form (Appendix 4) and draft a letter of intent that addresses topics such as: o What are your goals for the mentorship program? o In which industry are you most interested in learning more? Attach your resume MBA Department staff will work together to match students and will attempt to find a mentor in your preferred industry Preparing for your role in the mentoring relationship Your mentor will be giving his/her time to share experiences, perspectives and approaches to developing personally and professionally. He/she will assist you in achieving your goals of the mentorship by answering questions, providing insight into particular roles, organizations and/or industries, assessing your strengths and weaknesses. You should actively seek feedback from your mentor and be receptive to the feedback that you are offered. Be as specific as possible when asking for information, ideas, and suggestions. Self Evaluation: Clarify your interests and needs Before your meeting with your mentor, you should start by undertaking a critical self- evaluation, i.e.: What are the personal and professional goals I have for this mentoring relationship? What would I like to learn from this experience? What are questions that I have about this industry? What are questions I have about my career choice? What are my strengths? Weaknesses? What skills do I need to develop? Recognize the value and limits of the mentoring relationship Like any relationship, this match involves an active process in which the uniqueness, individuality and expertise of each member of the pair needs to be respected. Your mentor may offer you lessons from his/her experiences, information and suggestions on how to approach and solve various issues. Be OPEN to the information that you are receiving. Recognize that some advice may seem irrelevant to you at this time, but it may prove useful later on. Other suggestions may not suit your particular personality style. It will ultimately be your choice as to how you will weave the insights gained into your own evolving style! 8

Expectations and Responsibilities Mentors are volunteers therefore please try to accommodate to her/his schedule Minimum commitment 4 meetings (approximately 4 hours) o 4 booked meetings o Maximum commitment is unlimited some relationships last years! Be open to experiencing industries and professions that differ from your own career aspirations. Every situation can be a great learning opportunity Listen and share ideas with your mentor Initiate contact with your mentor to set meeting times It is your responsibility to prepare for each meeting with relevant questions for discussion in order to ensure a productive and informative session If the relationship is not working out, you must discuss this and end the relationship with a professional attitude First Meeting It will be helpful to structure your first meeting because it is not uncommon for mentors and students to begin the relationship with high expectations and some uncertainty about how to proceed forward. We will have forwarded your resume to your mentor in advance of your first meeting. Prepare an agenda and send it to your mentor in advance. You may want to consider the following outline: Share your purpose for participating in the mentorship program Ask about your mentor s work experience and discuss with him/her ways in which these intersect with your personal interests Identify ways your mentor can support you. Agree upon the location, duration, frequency, and length of each of your meetings Summarize the key learning experiences and express appreciation for the meeting Setting Goals Based on your self- evaluation, develop 3 5 specific goals for your participation in the mentoring program. As with all goal setting, you do not need to strictly adhere to the goals you initially agree to; however, giving some thought and advanced planning can help keep the relationship productive and worthwhile for both parties. In your first meeting: Share your goals for your participation in the mentoring program Provide additional background information about your career goals and aspirations Work together to finalize the list of goals that your mentor thinks she/he can help you develop during the agreed upon time of the mentorship Discuss how you will get feedback on your development. Discussion Topics Mentor roles vary with each student and each mentor. Students may seek advice, support or guidance on personal, academic or professional issues. Some possible topics for discussion could include: Personal Professional Academic Discover your strengths & weaknesses Interview skills resume tips networking skills Academic skills critical to your chosen industry Obtaining work/life balance Job search strategies How education prepared your mentor for his/her career 9

Things your mentor may have done differently if had chance Sharing personal backgrounds hobbies interests Key success factors in your mentor s chosen industry How your mentor chose his/her career path What additional certifications did she/he pursue after graduation Any study tips? Managing the Mentor Relationship Face- to- face meetings with your mentor are recommended. When not possible, you can also engage in phone or to maintain communication. Be sure to show up for scheduled meetings on time and prepared with a prioritized list of topics or questions that you want to discuss. Be flexible as your mentor is volunteering his/her time, but remain committed to achieving your goals from this relationship. Clarify Confidentiality As a participant of the UNBSJ MBA Mentorship Program you must adhere to the following confidentiality guidelines: Information shared by your mentor must not be discussed with anyone else Your mentor s contact information must be kept confidential You are not to solicit or expect your mentor to find you a job or Internship You are not to seek counsel from your mentor regarding academic issues such as difficulty with a professor. Such an issue should be resolved directly with the MBA department. Students failing to respect these guidelines will be removed from the Mentorship Program. Tips for a Successful Mentoring Relationship These practical strategies can help you build a relationship with your mentors: Remember that you own your development - your mentor does not. It is up to you to identify objectives as well as to help keep the relationship focused and moving forward. Use active listening skills in discussions with your mentor. Be prepared to ask for specific advice on your skill set, ideas, plans, and goals. The more specific you are, the easier it will be for the mentor to assist you. Make it easy for your mentor to give you honest and specific feedback. Ask for it! If you get some corrective feedback, don t be defensive. Thank your mentor for being honest in what she/he sees. Then ask for suggestions on how you can improve. Wrapping up the Mentoring At the end of your mentorship, you should write a hand- written thank you note for volunteering his/her time to work with you. You will be required to provide feedback at the conclusion of the program. Your comments will be held in confidence and only used to monitor the progress of the mentoring relationship and help us to measure the effectiveness of this program. 10

Developing Leadership and Interpersonal Skills Through Group Work Our MBA Program was designed taking into account that group- oriented assignments play an important role in developing the leadership and interpersonal skills of our students. It is understandable that teams designed with diverse technical, cultural, communication, and leadership characteristics are likely to create tension. However, it is also important to recognize that the modern workplace is diverse and relies on team- oriented values and behaviours. Therefore, we ask you to prepare at least one group- based assignment in each of our MBA courses. In Module One and Two, we design groups with maximum diversity to help you learn to cope with the natural tension arising from group management issues. We believe this process will accelerate your skill development and, ultimately, improve your performance in the workplace. Students will work on group assignments and projects in mixed groups of four- to- seven. These groups will be assigned at the beginning of Modules One and Two. Due to their varying schedules, part- time students may form their own groups, depending on course enrollment and instructor preference. In Modules Three, Four and Five, with the exception of MBA 7100, you may choose your own groups subject to the instructor s design for each course. Some professors in elective courses may choose to design their own groups for their class. The MBA program at UNBSJ is proud of its broad international appeal. Our students arrive from around the world to acquire their Masters Degree in Business in Saint John. Our students come from China, India and all over Asia. They arrive from Saudi Arabia and countries in the Middle East. We have students from Canada, of course, as well as both North and South American countries. Often we have students from countries in Europe join us. We are fortunate to have had numerous students from many countries in Africa. It is truly an opportunity for people from around the globe to come together and experience a business program shared with some of the brightest minds the world has to offer. Therefore, to maximize your learning from your classmates, during modules three- to- five, you are required to form diverse groups with no more than two people from each world region (ie. Southeast Asia, Canada/US, Europe, China, Africa, and Latin America). Michelle Scott and your instructors will have the final say in the composition of groups. There are numerous part- time students who are studying at various stages in the MBA program. During each teaching module, sections of courses are offered in the evenings to help accommodate our part- time students. Part- time students will be integrated with full- time students in each class. If it arises that part- time and full- time students are assigned to common groups, meetings must be scheduled with consideration of all the students workloads, including being sensitive to the demands of a full- time job in the case of part- time students. It is expected that part- time students will only be available to meet on weekend and evenings (including after class at 10pm!) Groups are made to maximize diversity; therefore family members and friends will not be put in the same group, and may not even be in the same section. Decisions are made to benefit the class and program as a whole, not to accommodate individual needs. Improving Communication Skills One of the goals of the MBA program is to develop oral, written, and group communication skills. Effective Communication (MBA 7510), a credit course, includes one- on- one tutoring, as well as student resources which are available to help you develop strong, graduate- level business communication skills. Both native and non- native English speakers require practice and guidance to meet these standards. Although international students are required to pass a language test and - in some cases - attend English- language courses prior to the start of the program, some students still struggle with the heavy reading and writing requirements in this intense program. We have made a commitment to encourage a progressive improvement in communication skills such that international students are not penalized too heavily for imperfect English, especially in the first module, while working with them to develop graduate- level skills. Professors will encourage all students to make use of the Writing Centre. Students who struggle with communication should identify themselves early in Module 1 to Michelle Scott who, with their Communications instructor, will assist them in addressing their issues. 11

Avoiding Plagiarism Your best resource is always your professor as they are accomplished researchers and know better than anyone how to avoid plagiarism. In addition, your instructors in Effective Communication (MBA 7510) and Business Research & Statistics (MBA 7605) will pay special attention to the issue. The citation method most commonly used in the MBA program is the American Psychological Association (APA) Citation method. Unless otherwise indicated by your course instructor, all submissions should adhere to this standard. The website for the APA covers the basics of the APA Citation Style. Academic offences are taken seriously at UNB. Please familiarize yourself with these regulations in the Academic calendar. Stress Management The UNB Saint John MBA is a highly intensive program. It is hard to understand the effect this will have on your daily life until you are actually in the program; therefore, it is hard to prepare for the kind of stress you will face. It is important that you remember to take time out to look after yourself: go to the gym, a movie, have dinner with friends - keep your life balanced! If you are having trouble maintaining a balanced study/life schedule, you should make an appointment to see Michelle Scott and/or the university counselors in Student Services. In Class Getting ready for class involves knowing what you need to do to be able to attend, what you need to bring, and what is expected of you once you are there. This section lays out the fundamentals so students know what will be expected of them in class. Getting Online First you need an active UNB account. Located in the Hans W. Klohn Commons building, Information Technology Services (ITS) is ready to help students at UNBSJ stay connected electronically to the program and each other. Please consult UNBSJ s ITS website for answers to questions about setup and options. If you do not wish to forward your account, then you can access your UNB account through the web. Also at the ITS site, you can find other numerous resources available to you. Due to strict Canadian privacy regulations covering educational institutions, MBA Program staff and instructors will communicate with students through UNB e- mail only; personal e- mail may not be used for this purpose. Information Technology Services provide online tools and support for students. Here you will be able to setup your UNB account, reset your password, get help with IT issues, and get status updates on various key services. If at any time you are having difficulty setting up or accessing an electronic device or computer, take it to ITS in the Commons and they will do what they can to help. Registration In modules one and two, you will be assigned to sections to provide maximum diversity in each section and within each group. For module one, you will register at the end of MBA Bootcamp. Katie Bennett will provide you with the course timetable with registration information and Michelle Scott will assign you to Section 1, 2 or 3 and to your respective groups. For the remaining modules, with the exception of MBA 7100 in module three, you will choose your own sections and design your own groups, subject to professor design. Sections are managed for size, and registration is on a first- come, first- serve basis. Students occasionally find their preferred sections fill before they even find out course registration is live. It pays to check your e- mail frequently. A few weeks before the beginning of modules two, three, four, and five, you will receive a timetable from Katie Bennett with instructions to register by a certain date. There will still be an opportunity to add or drop elective 12

courses during the first week of classes, but the early registration date is so we can ensure there are enough sections to fulfill student interest and so professors can plan appropriately for class size. While the courses required for each stream are laid out in Appendix 2, if you are uncertain as to which courses to take, make an appointment with your MBA advisor Michelle Scott. It is your responsibility to manage your own program. You can track this on the advising sheet in Appendix 5 of this handbook. If you miss a needed course, you will not graduate on time. It is also critical that you register by the deadline; otherwise you will miss taking the class in that module. While class attendance is critical, you must also be registered to participate in the class. UNB has prepared an excellent registration guide, which can be found at the following link: Elective courses will have a waitlist. If you cannot at first get into your preferred class, or section, place yourself on the waitlist. However, you should also register, or waitlist, yourself for your second choice. Do not register for more than five courses in any term. Michelle Scott will regularly review registrations and, if necessary, will arbitrarily remove students who have over- registered from sections. We do this to ensure all students can get into classes. Students who register for 7 or 8 classes are keeping their colleagues from selecting classes. You may waitlist yourself in as many sections as you wish. Course Design Each course is designed by the Faculty of Business and professors keeping in mind the fast- track, intensive nature of the program. Each course has 32- hours of classroom teaching; normally 8 classes of 4 hours each. The MBA Program at UNB Saint John is a 12- month intensive program in which we strike a workload balance that is challenging for graduate level students but reasonable considering a 2.5 credit hour course over eight weeks. Taking into account a total of 32 contact hours (excluding the exam) in a typical eight- week study module, professors will: Clearly identify the purpose of each assignment to students Avoid assigning busy work Given the time constraints of the module, put class notes on reserve in the library or on Desire2Learn (D2L) as a useful study guide To add an international perspective, design group assignments and class discussions to draw upon the cultural diversity represented by the students During four- hour classes, have short breaks and change the dynamics of the class (i.e. have shorter lectures with break out discussion groups, presentations, rebuttals, guest speakers, group exercises) You can find introductory information on each course in Appendix 3. Communication Between Professors and Students Professors will communicate with students through the UNB system. Many professors will also use Desire2Learn (D2L). This is a Web- based set of Course Tools designed to deliver online learning. D2L provides the tools to present online learning in a variety of ways through a centralized communication hub featuring electronic documents, s and news items. In D2L, click on Desire2Learn UNB Resources to access D2L tutorials. To view your course listings, please Login to the myunb portal. Upon logging in, this will take you to your UNB homepage, where you can access Desire2Learn, webmail, class cancellations, and other important information. The Course syllabus will outline additional methods of communication available to you if you wish to contact your instructors outside the classroom. 13

The Course Syllabus (or Outline) The course syllabus, or course outline, is a contract between you and your professor. It is an agreement indicating what will be expected of you and how your performance will be evaluated. After having listened to the professor discuss the course outline, you should have a clear understanding of how you are to earn your marks for the course. If you do not have a clear understanding, ask. Professors use a variety of methods to determine final grades. Many professors will assign marks to quizzes, tests and exams. Some will assign group and individual projects, and some use Team Based Learning. There may be homework that is handed- in for evaluation, and some will be presented in class. In addition, active participation in class can comprise a significant portion of your mark in an MBA class. Attendance and attention may also be evaluated (your professors know when you are playing game or chatting on your cellphone). The syllabus for each course will be distributed in class or posted on D2L during the first week of classes. It is your responsibility to be aware of upcoming deadlines. Your instructors are not required to remind you. Students taking a course in the MBA program should be able to identify what will be required to succeed, and what will be required to excel. If you have any outstanding questions, you must make sure to ask your professor. Here are a few questions worth considering: What is the composition of the final grade for this course? What am I expected to learn from lectures? What am I expected to learn from seminars? What are the expectations regarding assignments? What are the expectations for presentations, both group and individual? What constitutes active participation in class? Will I be able to use social media in the classroom? If you feel the course may be deviating from the syllabus, you should bring it to the attention of the professor. In the event further clarification is required, you should contact Michelle Scott. Textbooks Textbooks are ordered by the Faculty of Business and are available in The UNBSJ Bookstore. You are encouraged not to buy textbooks until your instructor has provided course outlines or until the Program has officially notified you of textbooks in use. There are numerous ways of obtaining legal* copies of textbooks - from online sales directly from publishers and distributors, to book vendors and book resellers. You can use new or used copies of textbooks. However, variances between your version and the edition listed in the syllabus can be significant and it is your responsibility to ensure you are using the correct materials for you class. Student Alumni are often in possession of acceptable copies of textbooks they are willing to sell to incoming students. *Illegal textbooks = paper or electronic copies of textbooks; these are not permitted in the classroom. Tools for Class The Faculty of Business at UNBSJ has no mandatory requirement for any specific laptop or other electronics. However, you are encouraged to have a good quality laptop for academic purposes. A portable computer that can be used to access MS Office tools such as Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Access and Project would be an asset. Both PC and MAC tools are commonly used on campus. UNBSJ has an extensive network of computers at various locations around campus available for use. Another significant acquisition will be your financial calculator. This calculator will be required for your Finance Course. The preferred models will be of a kind readily available to students at most electronics stores, from previous MBA students and also from the UNBSJ bookstore. Many presentations are done in the class so having a USB drive is necessary. While definitely not necessary, a wireless pointer for your laptop will make presentations run much more smoothly. 14

Business Clothing The dress code for MBA classes and seminars is outlined in Appendix 6. During presentations and during meetings with members of the Saint John Business Community, business attire will be mandatory. In addition, many of the social and professional networking events such as career fairs, guest lectures, and networking functions require business dress. It is your responsibility as a student to be aware of such protocols. Professors may also wish you to demonstrate your professionalism and interest by arriving at class as though you were heading to work, in which case, you need to be prepared to dress accordingly for those classes. As a rule, you need to have clothes with you to match the level of professionalism of the people you are meeting with. If there is any doubt about the requirements during a particular meeting, MBA Team Members and Professors are willing to provide direction and answer questions of this nature. If you arrive at a function inappropriately attired, you will be sent home to change, or denied entrance. Have questions? The MBA Team would be happy to help. Class Cancellations Except for very exceptional circumstances - such as during a major storm resulting in City Transit curtailing service - the campus will remain open. If the campus is open, it is unlikely class will be cancelled. Classes that are cancelled are usually rescheduled for a replacement class. The Program typically schedules these make- up classes on a Friday, including Friday evening. The instructor will make the final decision on his or her individual class. Instructors who elect to cancel a class will inform Campus Security and submit an electronic update to myunb portal. Professors may also indicate other methods of notifying students of class cancellation on the course outline. For an up- to- date listing of cancelled classes, students can check their myunb portal under the UNB Alerts and Cancellations widget. You are also expected to use your best judgment when deciding to travel in inclement weather. If you miss a class, you will still be held accountable for the content of the class. You may also lose any participation points you may have earned by attending class. The MBA Society The MBA Society is a student- led social society with an executive comprised of 5 members: President Vice- President, Internal Vice- President, External Vice- President, Finance Vice- President, Administration & Communications The role of the Society is largely social as MBA students are away from their families and require a support network. The Executive is nominated and campaign during Orientation Week. Elections will take place during the first week of classes. Descriptions for the Executive positions can be found in Appendix 7. Additional information will be made available during orientation week. If you are interested, please contact Michelle Scott, the MBA team liaison for the Society. 15

The A-Z of Services on Campus Outside of the MBA program, UNBSJ also provides a supportive environment to make sure you have a chance to realize your goals. Campus Map In this section we will look at some of the main buildings you will want to be aware of, as many of the services you require are located therein. They are organized by building so you will know where to look for the people who can help you address your concerns. The buildings mentioned in this document are: Philip W. Oland Hall (Oland Hall, OH) Hans W. Klohn Commons Building (HWK or the Commons) William F. Ganong Hall (Ganong Hall, GH) Sir Douglas Hazen Hall (Hazen Hall, HH) G. Forbes Elliot Athletics Centre (A) Thomas J. Condon Student Centre (SC) Student Health Centre (HC) Ward Chipman Building (WC) K. C. Irving Hall (IH) To help in locating the buildings on campus, the University provides a Campus Map available online and in your MBA Bootcamp Binder. The basic map has been reproduced here for students working off of a paper copy of the Handbook. Accessibility Centre UNB is committed to the equitable treatment of students with disabilities and to fostering an accessible learning experience in partnership with the students, faculty, and staff of UNB. Students with documented visible, invisible, and temporary disabilities may register with UNB Student Accessibility Centre in Student Services. This is a service for students who require accommodations in- class, during tests and exams, and around campus. Airport Pick- up UNBSJ provides an airport pick- up service when you first arrive to campus. To register, visit 16

Athletics and Fitness Facilities The University of New Brunswick in Saint John has amazing athletic facilities. The gym can host three basketball games or volleyball matches simultaneously. It is also home to the largest indoor soccer league in Saint John. For a complete listing of available time slots, see the weekly schedule on the Athletics website.
