7 2. Self-evaluate by start of Spring semester Pick-up IE 300 Manual 2012 from the photocopy room: Check whether you can answer the questions without much difficulty

8 2. Self-evaluate by start of Spring semester Are there a large number of product lines? FARBA has around 16 product lines How much is the production capacity? TOFAŞ has 300,000 units of production capacity How many people working? How many IE s? 100-to-500 Is there an information system? Many firms use an information system for ERP

9 3. Apply before April 1st After self-evaluation, apply. Some firms require a Recommendation Letter. (Zorunluluk Belgesi)

10 3. Apply before April 1st For Recommendation Letter, go to All the necessary forms for summer practice is available under Forms. Login with your id and password. Download the form, fill it out, get it signed and drop it at Student Affairs Secretary, Yeter Halis (Room 128).

11 3. Apply before April 1st Important!! Signing will be done weekly. Make sure you submit the filled out Recommendation Letter by 12:00 on Mondays and pick up after on the same Monday afternoon.

13 5. Apply for insurance as soon as you get accepted! Fill out the Excel form available under Forms > Insurance Send the form to Print out and sign the BEYAN VE TAAHHÜTNAME form, drop it at Yeter Halis. Excel form must be submitted 4 weeks before you start your practice. Pick up the Sigortalı İşe Başlama Belgesi the week before your practice starts.

14 5. Before the semester ends- approx. in June Download two copies of the Evaluation Form (Başarı Belgesi) (Evaluation Form is two pages: second page is the Employer Survey Form.) Attach a recent photograph of yours to the first page (a total of two photos are needed). Get the Evaluation Form sealed at Room 128. The company should fill out both copies: company will keep one copy, and in a closed and sealed envelope will mail the other back. Make sure the company attaches the Employer Survey.

15 5. Before the semester ends- approx. in June 6. Practice for 4 weeks during summer If you have a summer school, should not coincide with sp. Hand the evaluation form to the firm (two copies).

16 6. Submit your report and questionaire at the beginning of Fall Register for IE 300 in Fall semester. Report is based on questions in the IE 300 Manual. Due in two weeks after the semester starts. Submit both the hard-copy and the soft copy. Soft copy is submitted through the sp web-site Forms > Report upload Fill out the questionaire, otherwise you will get Incomplete.

17 Starting from April: Department will list some of the firms that you can apply. It is your responsibility to check regularly the updates from the web site under > SP Opportunities In almost all cases, department has no responsibility in arranging an organization for you. You should contact the firms by yourself and make the arrangement by yourself, unless otherwise stated.
