Deutsch-Telekom Research Laboratories (T-Labs), Berlin, Germany Research Intern April-June, 2011 Pursued research (and published papers) on (i) ways to achieving the state where network users optimally invest in security under network information uncertainty, (ii) analyzing competitive markets for cloud services w.r.t. prices and QoS parameters, and (iii) achieving optimal QoS compromising amongst users in opportunistic mobile networks via a strategic approach. Research Intern March, 2012 Pursued research (and published papers) on assessing the role of network topology in contract discriminating network users buying cyber-insurance, with the view to improving network security. Ciena Corporation - Cyan Blue Planet SDN Division., San Francisco, USA Research Intern in Ciena s Cyan Start Up Division June-August, 2013 Pursued research on improving security in resource constrained software defined networks by designing and analyzing optimal dynamic security monitoring strategies when exact time of attacks are unknown. The research is currently under industry test. Proposed economic solutions to the realization of an efficient SDN ecosytem comprising switch vendors, ISPs, and SDN software developers. Department of Electrical Engineering, University of Southern California, USA Research Assistant August-December, 2014 Pursued research (submitted and published papers) on (i) designing efficient real-time and online algorithms for demand response-driven consumer-segmentation in smart grids, (ii) smart grid security, and (iii) real-time power balance in the smart grid. My research was sponsored by the United States Department of Energy (DOE), and Los Angeles Department of Water and Power (LADWP).
