4 Water purification dual purpose The BlueBox concept is a profitable investment with great flexibility of purpose and a proven track record in the field. It can supply drinking water as an emergency relief as well as function in a permanent installation. The self-contained system can be transported to any remote area and be operational within 7 minutes of installation, thus supplying emergency drinking water to the needed. With a capacity of up to litres of drinking water per day per unit, the long term prospect of the BlueBox 1200 RO is such that it can later be built into a permanent installation, supplying drinking water to the whole community. The water is stored in hygienic enclosed water tanks, which can be placed high above ground level to allow for a gravity flow water pipe system to distribute the purified water to several taps at the beneficiary communities or inside a one-stop-shop with on-site taps. 5 FLUSH WATER OUTLET LRAW WATER IN ET CLEAN WATER MuchMoreWater purification process The filter components remove heavy metals, organic chemicals, bacteria and virus. Reverse osmosis eliminates unwanted contaminants in your drinking water. The unit has two barriers, the Reverse Osmosis filter and the UV sterilization lamp. The purification process will remove more than 99% of all chlorine and organic material, chemicals and pesticides. Reverse Osmosis is the only technology which can remove heavy metals such as lead, copper, barium, chrome, mercury, cadmium, flour, nitrates, selenium and others. Also arsenic, fluoride, pesticides etc. will be removed. The pores in the Membranes are smaller than bacteria such as E. coli and the parasites Giardia and Cryptosporidium from being transported along with the rest of your drinking water. The BlueBox Reverse osmosis filter is self cleansing, in that water is carried along the surface and the unwanted particles are carried into an inner core before they are flushed down the drain. The UV-sterilizer destroys the DNA and RNA in the bacteria or virus so that your drinking water is as good as sterile, resulting in a water quality superior to WHO standards. This means that the feed stream is divided into a permeate containing pure water and the concentrate which contains all dissolved solids.
