The core must constitute at least 50% of all coursework in the program. For example, if the program requires 30 total hours, then at least 15 hours must be discipline-specific courses (the core). Core courses can be a choice of one of two or two of three but no other course options are permitted for the core. Core courses (discipline-specific) in a specialization or concentration can be added to program core to calculate the 50% program requirement.
