SIMATIC S7-300 Basic PLC BASIC with Step7 (ST-BPLC) 3 days COURSE CONTENT Requirements This course is for SIMATIC S7-300 PLC first time users or the beginners who are involved with developing or maintaining automation systems and their application programs. Objectives This course is the first in a three part series which builds the very basic skills with Siemens STEP7 engineering software in project design and application sustaining. This course takes a systems approach addressing the S7300 PLCs, hardware configuration plus basic level of programming. The course format consists of instruction and hands-on exercises. The course uses a conveyor model for demonstrations and exercises. Upon completion of this course, the participant shall be able to: Complete a system hardware configuration. Perform I/O addressing. Use symbolic addressing. Build a STEP7 program. Download & Upload. Program Bit logic instructions. Program Timer instructions. Program Counter instructions. Program Comparison instructions. SIMATIC S7-300 Maintenance Basic (ST-SERV1) 5 Days COURSE CONTENT Requirements This course is designed for industry "first responders" to operations controlled with Siemens STEP 7 automated control systems. Participants not requiring programming skills, such as maintenance technicians, electricians, supervisors and others, who need an understanding of their Siemens control system to maximize line uptime, should attend this course. This course also makes a great platform for those new to automation systems and industrial electronics. Objectives This course provides Participants with a solid base of STEP 7 PLC tools and skills necessary for successful system diagnostics and repair. This course is ideal for environments with high uptime requirements and stable control system programs. Fully functional application programs are used as a baseline for the participant to understand key process flow information, diagnostics tools and repair techniques. Build skills and reduce downtime with this focused automation system troubleshooting course. Upon completion of this course, the participant shall be able to: Identify and maintain the components of a typical automation system. Understand the basic steps in hardware assembly, cabling, wiring and testing. Establish communications with the PLC with multiple technologies. Retrieve, Archive, and Download programs. SIMATIC S7-300 Programming Level 1 (ST-PRO1) 5 days COURSE CONTENTS Requirements This course is for SIMATIC S7-300 PLC users who are involved with developing or sustaining automation systems and their application programs. Objectives This course is the second in a three part series which builds skills with Siemens STEP7 engineering software in project management, program design and application sustaining. This is an aggressively paced curriculum covering key programming tools, structures, libraries and editors. This course takes a systems approach addressing the S7300 PLCs, plus basic connectivity and functionality of an HMI, Drive and PROFIBUS based remote I/O. Throughout this course Participants will build or modify a STEP7 project using proper program structuring, documentation and test tools. Various instructions, memory types, blocks and functions will be introduced to provide the participant with solid concepts of structured programming. The course format consists of instruction and hands-on exercises. The course uses a conveyor model for demonstrations and exercises. Upon completion of this course, the participant shall be able to: Complete a system hardware configuration. Build, document, test and troubleshoot a structured STEP7 program.
