PRODUCT MARKING The doors mcr ALPE W El60 are double leaf doors, solid or glazed, of fire resistance El DOOR MARKING The door has a data plate with the following information: - company name - door type marking - fire resistance - factory number and year of manufacture - certificate number - technical approval number It is recommended to apply adhesive film labels on both sides of the leaf, informing about the door purpose and marking the escape route. 3. DOOR DIMENSIONS In accordance with the Decree of the Minister of Infrastructure of 12 April 2002, the door opening dimensions should be construed as obtained after opening the door leaf to the angle of 90 o. Legal basis: Decree of the Minister of Infrastructure on the conditions for buildings and their location, of 12 April 2002, Division I, (Journal of Laws no. 75, item 690); the decree came into effect on 16 December INDUSTRIAL SAFETY REGULATIONS During installation, operation and repair of fire doors, observe the general industrial safety regulations in force.

SERVICE In order to ensure correct functioning of the fire door and to keep the rights resulting from the guarantee, the door should be subjected to periodical inspections and maintenance at least once per 6 months. The periodical inspection should include the following actions: check of the door functioning, check of the gap between the floor and the leaf (the clearance should be from 5 to 12 mm), check of the gap between the leaf edges and the door frame (the clearance must not exceed 8 mm); check of the lacquer coat, check and possible correction of the fastening of locks, bolts etc., check of the condition of the swelling gasket, check of the fastening of the catch plate of bolts, adjustment of the door closers, greasing of the hinges and other moving elements, preparation of a service inspection protocol. After the inspection, replace or repair the damaged or worn parts. 6. TERMS OF GUARANTEE 1. MERCOR SA grants a guarantee for the delivered products for the period of 12 months, unless the guarantee period is specified in a separate contract. 2. The defects revealed in this period, preventing the correct operation of the product, shall be rectified within 21 days from the date of reporting. 3. The guarantee shall be extended automatically by the period from reporting the complaint to completion of the guarantee repair. 4. The products being in the guarantee period, in which any defects are found preventing their further operation, shall be replaced with products of full value. 5. The guarantee does not cover the actions specified in this documentation that should be performed by the user on their own. 6. The manufacturer is absolved from the guarantee and any obligations in the case if: products are damaged mechanically in result of improper operation by the user, the user has made modifications to the construction on their own, defects occur in result of product maintenance performed not in accordance with these instructions, defects occur in result of improper storage or transport, product installation by the user is not performed in accordance with the installation instructions, product data plate is removed. 7. In the case of a complaint related to the product, the manufacturer deducts the equivalent of the elements missing or damaged through the user s fault, and the cost of their replacement. 8. The condition for granting a guarantee for a period longer than 3 years is the conclusion of a service contract with MERCOR SA.

5 Page 5/8 INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS FOR STEEL FIRE DOOR OF TYPE mcr ALPE W El INITIAL ACTIONS Before commencing the assembly, check whether the opening dimensions are in accordance with the ones specified on the door packaging, and check the floor level in the door leaf turning zone. In the case if the final form of the floor finishing is missing, keep an adequate installation gap (thickness of the finishing elements + 5 mm) DOOR INSTALLATION The door mcr ALPE W El60 is delivered to the construction site in the form of separate elements, therefore special attention should be paid to the completeness of the door delivery before commencement of installation. Check whether the following have been delivered: door frame connecting elements, hinge elements, nuts, screws, etc. Doors mcr ALPE W El60 are installed in walls of adequate strength and fire resistance (e.g.: of solid ceramic brick of min. thickness 250 mm, in concrete walls of min. thickness 150 mm). Before commencement of installation, perform visual inspection of the opening. Check its rectangularity, flatness, verticality. In addition, pay attention to the levelling of the floor in the door leaf turning zone. Commence the door installation by assembling the door frame in horizontal position on the floor. Then position it properly in the wall and fasten it provisionally using pegs, struts and wedges. Pay special attention to the vertical and horizontal placement of the door frame elements, and to the parallel position of both posts. In addition, check whether the door frame posts are not twisted around the vertical axis, and whether the vertical axes of all hinges are located in one plane. Fasten the door frame using steel anchors ø10 mm in the fastening holes prepared in the door frame. Hang the door leafs on hinges on the installed door frame, and then adjust the hinges so that all gaps are equal. The gap between the floor and the lower edge of the leaf should be from 5 to 12 mm. The gap between the leaf edges and the door frame should be less than 8 mm.

The door frame must be fastened rigidly in a way which permits no deformations during the door operation. Therefore the door frame with GKF drywall board strips should be filled with cement mortar or glue for GK drywall boards. It is inadmissible to fasten the fire door frame using polyurethane foam. 8. FINAL ACTIONS 8.1. INSTALLATION OF THE SWELLING GASKET The self-adhesive swelling gasket is applied on the entire perimeter of the door frame. The graphite gasket is applied on the leaf perimeter (except the lower edge of the leaf).

7 Page 7/ ADJUSTMENT OF DOOR WITH 3D HINGES Leafs of the door mcr ALPE W El60 are hung on special adjustable hinges. The number of hinges is dependent on the leaf height. The hinges can be adjusted in three axes. Adjustment along the x and y axes is performed using 3 adjustment screws (2) located inside the hinge cassette (1). Adjustment along the z axis is performed using the 2 hex socket head screws located outside the hinge cassette REMOVING THE PROTECTIVE FILM Subjecting the lacquer coat covered with protective film to the action of sun and humidity may result in its permanent damage. Therefore remove the protective film immediately after the door is installed INSTALLATION OF THE BOLT BUSH After embedding the door, install the bush of the manual or automatic bolt. For this purpose, freely close the passive door leaf and bolt it. Then mark the place on the floor in which the bolt bar hits the floor. Drill a hole of adequate diameter in the floor, and embed the bolt bush using cement mortar, tile glue or fixing glue. Finally check the correctness of door bolting. A failure to install the bolt bush may result in damage of the door leaf. After unlocking the bolt of the passive leaf, the leaf must not be opened by pulling the bolt rod this may result in mechanical damage of the bolt. Note: unbolting the automatic bolt occurs after turning the bolt rod to the horizontal position (90 ), pulling the rod further upwards may result in damage of the bolt INSTALLATION OF HARDWARE Insert the door cylinder into the lock opening (1), then fasten it with the screw (2). Insert the handle mandrel into the lock opening (3) shorten it to the required length if necessary. Install the steel escutcheon plates of the handles (4) and fasten them tightly with the bolts (5), (6). Block the mandrel in the handle holder, tightening the hex socket head screw (7). Install the guards (8) on the steel escutcheon plate. The handles should be fastened rigidly, and the escutcheon plates should not be deflected from the door plane.

8 Page 8/ INSTALLATION OF DOOR STOPPERS In some cases it is recommended to install door stoppers in order to protect the door leaf from damage INSTALLATION OF THE SURFACE DOOR CLOSER Installation of the door closer should be performed in accordance with the instructions enclosed by the manufacturer. Note: installation of the door closer to the leaf should be performed using screws and knurled threaded inserts. Installation using self-tapping screws may lead to damage of the leaf ADDITIONAL LACQUERING In order to paint the door, if desired, first clean the door surface and make it matt using a fine-grained abrasive paper (e.g. 180). It is best to use polyurethane paints for painting. Note: some types of paints may lead to damage of the original coat and in result to flaking of the paint. Therefore, before using an unknown paint, first make a painting test on a small concealed surface of the leaf.
