How many arrest warrants has your police force been asked to execute by courts in the area in the last year? 2. Of these warrants issued in the last year, how many has your force successfully executed? 3. Of those warrants executed in the last year, what was the average time that it took your force to execute those warrants? 4. Please could you provide details of the average amount of time taken to issue each arrest warrant that was successfully executed in the last year? 5. How many arrest warrants issued by the courts are currently outstanding in your police region? 6. For each of those arrest warrants outstanding, could you please indicate how long they have been outstanding? 7. For the arrest warrants a) executed and b) outstanding, could you please break the figures down into the number of each type of crime committed? DECISION I have today decided to disclose the located information to you in full. Question 1 - How many arrest warrants has your police force been asked to execute by courts in the area in the last year? 11,657 Question 2 - Of these warrants issued in the last year, how many has your force successfully executed? 7,931 Question 3 - Of those warrants executed in the last year, what was the average time that it took your force to execute those warrants? Average of 24 days.

2 Question 4 - Please could you provide details of the average amount of time taken to issue each arrest warrant that was successfully executed in the last year? There has been a change of business process since the creation of the CJ Offender Management Service and all warrants are now circulated within 24 hours of the MPS being notified of them. Question 5 - How many arrest warrants issued by the courts are currently outstanding in your police region? 1,835 Question 6 - For each of those arrest warrants outstanding, could you please indicate how long they have been outstanding? No information held. Question 7 - For the arrest warrants a) executed and b) outstanding, could you please break the figures down into the number of each type of crime committed? Please find attached at the end of this a document entitled "Data" which answers your request. This data comprises Fail to Appear and Bench Warrants issued by the courts. The number of outstanding Wanted Offenders changes on a daily basis as a result of enforcement activity and as people enter and exit the criminal justice system. The MPS is committed to finding people who fail to attend court or attempt to evade justice. We will not give up in the search and we will use every means available to find them.
