3 New Bedford Remains #1 Fishing Port in America, 12th year in a row! As a New Bedford based seafood processor, there are several key factors that exist not just in regard to our long term growth potential, but in fact to our survival. Northern Wind, Inc. may be listed primarily as a scallop company, however these key factors are relevant to all of the seafood processors here on the New Bedford waterfront, regardless of the species harvested. 4 Accessibility According to NOAA/NMFS Data the total US Domestic Marine Harvest (all species) for 2011 was just over 10 billion pounds. How are we doing here in the US? We have doubled the amount of landings from : 4.9 to billion pounds. We reached 10 billion pounds in 1991 and have done a great job regulating the total landings over the past 20 years. Why? We understand the importance of protecting this valuable natural resource. We still have our work cut out for us. We must work together with the proper regulatory bodies, state and local governments, our Congressional delegation, and independent scientific research organizations, to ensure the survival of our fishing stock and the continuation of our proud fishing heritage in New Bedford.

6 Distribution Distribution is the life force of our business. We must be vigilant in the service we provide our existing client base. Maintaining solid distribution relationships over time will define the success of our endeavors. There will unavoidably be attrition in this scenario based on many factors: pricing, the economy, business cycles and buying patterns, relationships, etc. For this reason, we must constantly be prospecting new opportunities for the distribution of our goods and services. Exporting US seafood products as a New Bedford Seafood Processor. As an industry we acknowledge that international distribution allows us access to new markets and new opportunities. In addition, it works as a hedge against economic pressures, as well as seasonal trends that might effect US domestic distribution. We must take an active role in researching foreign markets, learning customs protocol and training our logistics departments to facilitate the delivery of our seafood products efficiently throughout the world. We recognize that the potential rewards of this export opportunity are numerous. At Northern Wind, we have seen our international business grow as the fastest sector of our operation. We see this trend continuing and in fact expanding in the near future.

7 Distribution Cont. As a New Bedford based seafood processor with broad distribution throughout Europe, Asia, the Caribbean, and parts of Central America, we are constantly looking for new opportunities to export our seafood items. It is our firm belief that the International Sister Port Agreement is a great opportunity for New Bedford. We see it as a direct link to learning more about the Greater Mexico City market, as well as the State of Vera Cruz. Collaboration with our Mexican counterparts will educate us in regard to local seafood buying patterns, seasonality, and logistical operations. Having the MexiMar service in place allows us to move quickly upon discovering new opportunities. The knowledge of other local processors success with the reliability of the service will provide a level of comfort for our clients and prospects. We look forward to learning more about the MexiMar service. We also want to congratulate the Officials with APITUXPAN, and those with the Port of New Bedford, for their work on this developing opportunity.
