1 The Ultimate Enrichment Program Before and After Care for Grades K-5 located at the Community Arts Center 34 School Street, Gorham, ME The Ultimate Enrichment Program is like no other It is the only child care program designed specifically for children in grades K-5 that offers an Arts enrichment class every day and so much more HOURS OF OPERATION Monday-Friday Before School Care 7:15am-8:30am After School Care 3:00pm-6:00pm ENROLLMENT PROGRAM HIGHLIGHTS A safe, affordable, fun, creative environment School bus transportation directly to and from the schools An Arts enrichment class everyday after school (art, music, dance, theater, yoga, cooking, Jukado, science and more) Homework help & Tutoring 6:00 p.m. pick up time Early Release, Inservice, Snow Day & Vacation Day care Smaller Groups=Quality programs (Enrollment limited) 1) Fill out required registration forms noting your before and/or after school childcare needs. 2) Submit the one-time non-refundable processing fee (via check or Paypal) with your registration. Registrations are processed on a first come, first served basis. Only completed registrations will be processed. * The first day of Before & After Care is August 31, 2015; we follow the Gorham school year calendar.

2 WEEKLY RATE The following are the rates for enrollment in the After School Care Program $130/week= 5 days/week enrollment (Before care, school scheduled early release days, inservice and snow days are included at no charge) $120/week= 4 days/week enrollment (Before care add $5.00/day) $90/week = 3 days/week enrollment (Before care add $5.00/day) $65/week = 2 days/week enrollment (Before care add $5.00/day) $34/week = 1 day/week enrollment (Before care add $5.00/day) ENRICHMENT SCHEDULE There are three 9 week sessions - Fall, Winter, Spring and a 3 week mini-session built into the after school care program. Three weeks prior to the session's start date, a schedule of class options will be available. There will be 2 options each day to choose from; children note their first and second choices. Selections are scheduled on a first come, first served basis; not everyone will receive their first choice. Once your child's schedule has been set, there is no switching or trading out classes. Example: If class options on Monday include Art or Music and your child chooses Music, he/she will attend a Music class every Monday for the length of the session; if on Tuesday the class options include Dance or Theater and your child chooses Theater, he/she will attend a Theater class every Tuesday for the length of the session; and so on for the rest of the week. Each session will have different options; class size is limited so the teacher/child ratio is low. Fall Session (9 weeks) Monday, September 14 Friday, November 13, 2015 *Fall Make-Up Week Monday, November 16 Friday, November 20, 2015 Winter Session (9 weeks) Monday, January 11 Friday, March 18, 2016 *Winter Make-Up Week Monday, March 21 Friday, March 25, 2016 Spring Session (9 weeks) Monday, March 28 Friday, June 3, 2016 *Spring Make-Up Week Monday, June 6 Friday, June 10, 2016 Sample Schedule Holiday Mini Session (3 weeks) Monday, November 30 Friday, December 18, :00-3:30 arrival/snack 3:30-4:30 Grade K-5 classes; (classes may be divided by age group depending on enrollment) 4:30-5:30 Homework help/tutoring 5:30-6:00 Clean-up/pick-up 6:00 All children must be picked up Transition weeks: These weeks occur at the beginning of the school year and after winter break. They help children establish a routine and group enrichment activities are planned. Make up weeks These weeks are built into the end of each 9 week session time for missed classes when the center is closed due to weather, holidays, or instructor illness.

3 INSERVICE & CONFERENCE DAYS The Gorham Schools have 5 scheduled inservice and conference days in the calendar. We are open on these days and children have the opportunity to attend music, theater and dance performances, classes with visiting artists, science classes and other programs. Hours: The center is open 7:30am- 6:00pm. No charge for students enrolled 5 days/week (included in weekly rate) $40.00/day for students enrolled 1, 2, 3, or 4 days/week School Scheduled No School Days we are open include: October 9, 2015 October 23, 2015 November 25, 2015 March 11, 2016 March 25, 2016 EARLY RELEASE DAYS (school scheduled early releases; does not include early release due to weather) The Gorham Schools have 8 early release days scheduled in the calendar. We are open on these days and children have the opportunity to attend music, theater and dance performances, classes with visiting artists, science classes and other programs. Regularly scheduled after school classes are still held on these days. -For children enrolled in the before care only, parents will need to pick up their child by 3:30. Hours: The center is open at 12:00pm; children take the bus directly from their school to the center. School Scheduled Early Release Days we are open include: September 23, 2015 October 28, 2015 December 9, 2015 January 13, 2016 February 3, 2016 March 16, 2016 April 6, 2016 May 4, 2016 These are in addition to the weekly program fees No Charge=5 days/week participants (included in weekly rate) $10.00/half day=1, 2, 3, 4 days/week participants SNOW DAYS These are days that Gorham schools have been cancelled due to weather. This pertains to full days and unfortunately does not include the days that school is released early due to weather. The center does not have the staff capacity to support early release snow days and your child must go home on their regular bus. No charge for students enrolled 5 days/week (included in weekly rate) $40.00/day for students enrolled 1, 2, 3, or 4 days/week

4 SCHOOL VACATION DAYS During school vacation days, a variety of special classes and programs will be offered. These may include music, theater and dance performances, science programs and classes with visiting artists. Hours: The center is open from 7:30am-6:00pm School Scheduled Vacation Dates: Winter Break: December 23, 2015 February Vacation: February 16-19, 2015 April Vacation: April 19-22, 2015 Rate $30.00/day for students enrolled 5 days/week $40.00/day for students enrolled 1, 2, 3, or 4 days/week AFTER SCHOOL TRANSPORTATION (bus numbers will be posted in August) Transportation by school bus is provided to the Community Arts Center by the Gorham schools transportation department from the following schools: Village Elementary School Narragansett Elementary School Great Falls Elementary School OUR PLACE IN THE COMMUNITY The Ultimate Enrichment Program is based in the Community Arts Center located in Gorham s village. The Community Arts Center building was originally built in 1807 as a General Store, where it stocked food staples, sold animal feed and even had a penny candy counter The building also served as a community hub where news and local gossip were shared and telegrams were sent and received. It was purchased by the Independent Order of the Odd Fellows in During their ownership, it was used as meeting place and open to the community for public dinners, quilting circles and other gatherings and its 2000 sq. ft. performance hall hosted plays, silent movies and weddings. In 2008, two businessmen in Gorham purchased the building. They updated its systems, refinished the hardwood floors and restored the tin ceilings, giving it new life. For 6 years it was used for many community events until April 2014 when it was sold and became home to the Gorham Arts Alliance, who created the Community Arts Center. 7 By signing this contract, parent(s) agree that they have read and understand the Program Description and the General Policies and Procedures and agree to abide by the information contained therein. We further acknowledge that I will: Inform the Director in advance if the child cannot be brought or picked up at the regular time. Furnish nutritious snacks for after school time. Inform the Director if someone other than the parents will pick up the child. Report any change in address or telephone number at home or work to the Director. Inform the Director at least 60 days in advance before removing the child from the enrichment program. Allow the Director to call the child s doctor if emergency medical care is needed (All effort will be made to contact the parents before any action is taken.) Payment will be made by first day of the month. (regardless of holidays, illness, vacations, or other absence) Make arrangements for my child should public school be released early release due to inclement weather or other emergencies where it be advised to stay off the roads (i.e. blizzard). Pick up my child by 6:00pm. If I will be late, I will call the Director. I will also pay a late fee ($5.00 per minute) as outlined in programs polices, in the event I arrive later than the regular closing time. (After 20 minutes, if your child has not been picked up, you have not called, or we have been unable to reach you and/or your emergency contacts, the Gorham Police will be called and your child escorted home.)
