Dear Friends: Thank you for your interest in Idlewild s Center Stage program. We look forward to providing an exciting and fun-filled day for everyone! Enclosed you will find everything you need to confirm your time in the spotlight. Please read the enclosed Guidelines & Requirements along with the Registration/Ticket Order form. Please note, a waiver release form must be filled out for each participant and on file at Idlewild before your performance date. Your group is sure to work up an appetite after their time in the spotlight! Our All-You-Can-Eat buffet catering options (available to groups with 50+ guests) make it easy to provide an affordable and delicious meal. Groups under 50 guests can order convenient meal vouchers for in-park service or choose from our ala carte items to suit a variety of tastes and budgets! We know that your group has talent and, Idlewild offers the perfect venue to let those talents shine! With our CENTER STAGE program, your group will not only enjoy an entire day of Idlewild & SoakZone FUN, but they can also be featured on Idlewild's Hillside Theatre Stage! AUDITION INFORMATION: Group leaders should submit the enclosed Performance Application to Idlewild & SoakZone at least 3 weeks before desired performance date. PERFORMANCE DAY: Upon approval and selection, your group will be scheduled to perform on Idlewild s Hillside Theater Stage on the day and hour of your choice between 11:00 AM and 6:00 PM (Subject to availability. Performance times are scheduled in ½ hr increments.) A sound technician will be provided during your performance time. All groups should wear their customary uniforms or costumes. All music, costumes and content should be in good taste, with consideration given to the park s family-friendly atmosphere. GATHER UP THE FAMILY AND FRIENDS. We understand that the support of family and friends make all performances extra special. That s why, not only will your performers receive a great group discount, but family members are included as well. 3 Guidelines & Requirements Center Stage! WHERE AND WHEN: A. Upon approval and selection, your group will be scheduled to perform on Idlewild s Hillside Theatre Stage on the day and hour of your choice between 11:00 AM and 6:00 PM (performance times are scheduled in ½ hour increments.) AUDITION INFORMATION: A. Group leaders must submit a Performance Application and audition sample(s) to be reviewed and approved by Idlewild & SoakZone at least three (3) weeks prior to requested performance date. REQUIREMENTS: A. Performing organization must provide a Certificate of Liability Insurance. B. Performer Release Waivers must be received at least 1 week prior to your confirmed performance date. C. We ask that all groups please perform in their customary uniforms or costumes. All music, costumes and content should be in good taste, with consideration given to the park s family-friendly atmosphere. E. It is understood our facility cannot be used as a platform to outwardly promote any particular political, religious or lifestyle views. F. Idlewild, in its sole discretion, reserves the right to relocate or cancel any performance. GENERAL INFORMATION: A. Limited changing facilities are available at the Hillside Theatre Stage. B. Performing stage area is 32 wide by 14 deep. Note: Please be flexible enough in your routine in case of any last minute changes. Alternate arrangements may be made in the event of inclement weather. C. Private Pavilion space can be reserved upon request for group and invited guest s picnic use. D. Park gates and Story Book Forest open at 10:30 AM. Rides and attractions begin opening at 11:30 AM. E. If applicable, please bring/provide a cd or cassette tape of your music. All cd s and cassette tapes must be labeled. Please report to the sound booth 15 minutes prior to your performance time. ALL GROUPS MUST HAVE A REPRESENTATIVE PRESENT AT THE SOUND BOOTH DURING YOUR PERFORMANCE TIME. An Idlewild representative will be provided to operate the Park s sound system. ADMISSION GUIDELINES: A. All discount tickets must be purchased in advance from the group leader and distributed before arriving at the park. Any tickets purchased on the day of the event will be at the regular gate price. B. Settlement for tickets will be done at the Main Gate Office between 10:30 AM and 1:00 PM or at the Group Sales Office between 10:30 AM and 5:00 PM. Every participant must complete a Waiver Release form. In case of an emergency during the event, I would like them transported to the hospital for medical treatment and hold Idlewild and its representatives harmless in their execution of this authority. I further release Idlewild and its parent organizations and representatives from any claims for injury or illness that may be sustained as a result of my or my child s participation in this event. I acknowledge and understand that in participating in the event, there is a possibility that I or my child may sustain illness or injury in connection with my/her/his participation, including injuries caused by the natural environment of Idlewild and the negligence of Idlewild employees and agents. I understand and will be responsible for any medical bills that may be incurred on behalf of myself, daughter/son for physical illness or injury during the event. Idlewild reserves the right to send any participant to a hospital for diagnosis and treatment, with the parent/guardian assuming full responsibility. I give Idlewild permission to film, photograph, or videotape myself/daughter/son or (advisor/coach/director) for any reproductions connected with Idlewild; in particular, reproduction for use in any form of advertisement for Idlewild promotional purposes.
