Sun 27 Sep Mon 28 Sep Depart Australian Capitals Arrive Frankfurt where you will meet the experienced tour manager, coach and driver to head to Wurzburg, the University town. Tonight enjoy a Welcome Cocktail Party to meet your fellow travellers and to learn more about the region. Tue 29 Sep Wed 30 Sep The morning to explore followed by an afternoon guided tour of the Residence Palace. Tonight enjoy a welcome dinner Bavarian style! Today you will travel to the walled city of Rothenburg ob der Tauber (driving time approx.1 hour). On the Romantic Road travelling through the south of Germany, Rothenburg is a must see. The unique atmosphere of Rothenburg can be experienced when you stroll through the high-ways and by-ways of the town, where you will discover evidence of a bygone age on almost every corner: lovingly restored house fronts, fountains, gables, bay windows and street signs all provide reminders of everyday life long ago. Dinner is also included tonight in a local restaurant. Thu 01 Oct Today we transfer the two hours to the famous city of Heidelberg located on the Rhine. To step into living history, come to Heidelberg! With its world-famous castle, picturesque city centre and Germany's oldest university, Heidelberg is brimming with beauty and scenes from times gone by. The city is not only legendary because of its unique splendour; it is also home to numerous institutions that enjoy high international standing, such as the university clinic and its schools of medicine and the humanities. The romantic Heidelberg cityscape is always worth a trip, but it becomes even more spectacular as the backdrop for the Heidelberg Spring Concerts, the Castle Festival and Castle Illuminations. Then there is a rich array of museums and galleries with exhibitions that will thrill any visitor with an eye for art and culture. Check in at the hotel. This evening you will enjoy dinner at a German Restaurant in the old town. Fri 02 Oct Today we transfer to Frankfurt for the flight to London and a transfer to our hotel for three nights. Wed 07 Oct Africa 1 v Georgia (20.00) Return transfers to Sandy Park in Exeter home to the Exeter Chiefs. Thu 08 Oct Fri 09 Oct Today we check out and transfer to the city of Bath in Somerset for four nights. A full day sightseeing in the fabulous Cotswold s including a visit to Warwick Castle.
