2 About... The Confetti Cakery specialises in bespoke and unique wedding cake design. Created by Sophie Taylor; The Confetti Cakery was born from a real love and passion for baking and cake decoration. A selfconfessed perfectionist and lover of all things sweet, Sophie is always excited to hear the inspiration and ideas from clients, and relishes the opportunity to work with them to create their dream wedding cake. The Confetti Cakery is registered with the local Council's Environmental Health Office (SKDC), and is covered by comprehensive Public Liability Insurance. Sophie has also undertaken the Level 2 certificate in Food & Safety Hygiene. She has completed courses and tuition in cake decoration, including NCFE Level 1 in sugar craft, and numerous sugar floristry courses. Where... The Confetti Cakery is based in Grantham, Lincolnshire; delivering to a wide area and supplying the East Midlands and beyond. If you live outside of this area please get in touch to see if we may still be able to help you. Bookings... Bookings are regularly taken one year in advance, however shorter notice bookings are also taken for unfilled dates. Please get in touch to see if your date is free. Cake... All of our cake is freshly baked from scratch using the best quality ingredients, and we only ever use free range eggs. We also offer a range of gluten free, dairy free and egg free cakes, please get in touch for more information on this. We do use nuts in our kitchen, and whilst we are careful to avoid cross contamination we cannot ensure that the raw ingredients are nut free..

3 Prices... Due to the bespoke nature of all designs a rough estimate can only be given prior to the initial design and quote. Prices per portion for iced bespoke cakes begins at 3.00 and increases with the level of detail required and for techniques such as sugar flowers and advanced piping. 4 Consultation The initial design process can be done in one of two ways; a face to face consultation or via phone, or Skype. We understand that life is busy, and there isn't always the time to meet up, so if you live abroad or are not local to the area then a virtual consultation is ideal. If you are able to meet for a consultation then we'll find a suitable place at a mutually agreed time, and look over your exciting ideas and talk all things cake! Design... Prior to the initial design, we will discuss your ideas and inspirations, your likes and dis-likes and your expectations of how you imagine your wedding cake to be. It is very helpful to see inspirational images, fabric or colour swatches and even Pinterest boards. The more detail you can share with us, the easier it is to create the perfect bespoke design for you. Quote... Once we have discussed your inspirations and ideas, we will organise a quotation and come up with the initial design. This process can take between five to ten days, and sometimes longer in peak periods. When it is completed we will you the sketch, image mood board, the quote and any other relevant information. The next step... When you have received your design and quote, please get back in touch and tell us your thoughts. If you wish to make any adjustments let us know, because we're not happy until you think it' is perfect! When you are 100% happy with the design it's time to book your date, by paying the non-refundable date retainer of 50. No date is secured until this money has been received.
