Our market leading Critical Illness Cover with 10 ABI+ definitions is just one of the compelling reasons to talk about the Friends Life Protection Account. Total Mastectomy Cover, low-grade Prostate Cancer Cover, major heart surgery, Accident Hospitalisation Cover and the recently upgraded Children s Cover are just some of the additional Protection Account benefits that really stand out in the marketplace. 6 Friends Provident product range, now from Friends Life Friends Provident protection products are now available through Friends Life. This product range includes award winning Income Protection Cover and also, Life Cover, Life or Earlier CIC and Business Protection. Friends Provident Income Protection is recognised as one of the market leaders, offering a number of benefits. These include Worldwide Cover, Hospitalisation Benefit, Rehabilitation Benefit and an Increasable Insurance Option. For doctors we provide the NHS Doctors Sick Pay Initiative; demonstrating real understanding of individual clients needs. We are also one of the only providers to offer Pension Contribution Protection Benefit (PCPB). This helps customers to protect their pension contributions if they are off work through accident or illness something which may not always be at the front of customers minds. 7 Making it easier to do business To make it as easy as possible to place business with us we are available on all the major industry quote systems or through our extranet. When it comes to applying we provide a number of application routes to suit. Offline, online and tele-underwriting each offers an approach which provides flexibility and choice. Accessing the Friends Provident Product Range eselect is an intuitive online underwriting system that puts you in control. With eselect your clients can be on risk straight away, and you can receive the commission payment the next day. A dedicated helpline is available to guide you through more complex applications. eselect is the only online system to allow signature free trusts. You can also submit applications through the paper and PAC routes. Accessing the Friends Life Protection Account The Friends Life Protection Account provides a selection of application routes online and offline. We provide support, which ever route is chosen, to ensure the right level of disclosure is given at the right time. In addition, we provide a dedicated helpline offering application guidance. Tele-underwriting The Protection Account was the first proposition to introduce full in-house UK tele-underwriting. Using this route Friends Life will take responsibility for asking the health and lifestyle questions, meaning there is less responsibility on you for collecting this information. It also provides a real time saving benefit and 75% of clients are ready to go on risk within five days. The Protection Account can also be accessed through Dynamic, Classic and paper. 7
