2 Statement of Faith WE BELIEVE the Holy Bible to be the inspired, only infallible, authoritative Word of God (II Timothy 3:15; II Peter 1:21). WE BELIEVE there is one God, eternally existent in three persons - Father, Son, and Holy Spirit (Genesis 1:1, Matthew 28:19, John 10:30). WE BELIEVE in the deity of Christ (John 10:33), His virgin birth (Isaiah 7:14, Matthew 1:23, Luke 1:35), His sinless life (Hebrews 4:15, Hebrews 7:26), His miracles (John 2:11), His vicarious and atoning death (I Corinthians 15:3, Ephesians 1:7, Hebrews 2:9), His resurrection (John 11:25, I Corinthians 15:4), His ascension to the right hand of the Father (Mark 16:19) and His personal return in power and glory (Acts 1:11, Revelation 19:11). WE BELIEVE in the absolute necessity of regeneration by the Holy Spirit for salvation because of the exceeding sinfulness of human nature, and that men are justified on the single ground of faith in the shed blood of Christ and that only by God's grace and through faith alone are we saved (John 3:16-19, John 5:24, Romans 3:23, Romans 5:8-9, Ephesians 2:8-10, Titus 3:5). WE BELIEVE in the resurrection of both the saved and the lost: they that are saved unto the resurrection of life, and they that are lost unto the resurrection of damnation. (John 5:28-29). WE BELIEVE in the spiritual unity of believers in our Lord Jesus Christ (Romans 8:9, I Corinthians 12:12-13, Galatians 3:26-28). WE BELIEVE in the present ministry of the Holy Spirit by whose indwelling the Christian is enabled to live a godly life (Romans 8:13-14, I Corinthians 3:16; 6:19-20, Ephesians 4:30, Ephesians 5:18). WE BELIEVE that prayer is vitally important to undergird the oneness we have in Christ as a Loganville Christian Academy family. WE BELIEVE parents are the primary educators of their children spiritually, physically, socially, and emotionally. WE BELIEVE that the Christian school should cooperate with the parent to provide a Christian education for the child. Compromises will not be made when philosophy is based on Scripture. WE BELIEVE that the Bible and religious training are a part of every aspect of the Christian school program. WE BELIEVE the gender identity is defined by biological condition of being male or female as determined at birth based on physical differences, or when necessary, at the chromosomal level. (Romans 1:24-27) WE BELIEVE that premarital or extramarital sexual intimacy, heterosexual, homosexual, or bisexual, violates scripture. (1 Corinthians 6:18-20; Exodus 20:14) WE BELIEVE that the sanctity of human life begins at conception and that an unborn child at any stage of development is fully human and should be treated as such. 8 Christian Role Model Agreement The employee will manifest by precept and example the highest Christian virtue and personal decorum, serving as a Christian role model (I Timothy 4:12) both in and out of school (Luke 6:40), and as an example in judgment, dignity, and Christian living. This includes, but is not limited to, the refraining from such activities as the use of alcohol, tobacco, illicit drugs, drunkenness, and the use of vulgar and profane language on school property, during school hours, or while participating in a school function. (Colossians 3:17; Titus 2:7-8; I Thessalonians 2:10-12; I Thessalonians 5:18, 22-23; James 3:17-18) The employee agrees that the Scripture dictates standards of sexual behavior. Any promiscuity, homosexuality, or other deviant sexual behavior is forbidden and as such violates the bona fide occupational employment requirement of being a Christian role model. The unique roles of the male and female are clearly defined in Scripture. Romans 1:24-32 states that God recognizes homosexuals and other deviates as perverted. Such deviation from Scriptural standards is grounds for termination. (Romans 12:1-2; I Corinthians 6:9-20; Ephesians 4:1-11, 5:3-5; I Thessalonians 4:3-8; I Timothy 2:19-22; I Peter 1:15-16; I John 3:1-3). Cause, as used herein includes, but is not limited to, any conduct tending to reflect discredit upon the school or upon the teacher, or tending to seriously impair his/her continued usefulness as a Christian role model for the students.
