2 Disclaimer Enon Tabernacle Baptist Church is committed to helping young people achieve their educational goals. In furtherance of this commitment, the Church sponsors a number of scholarships ( Enon Scholarships ). The Church agrees to fund all Enon Scholarships. In addition to the Enon Scholarships, individual members of the Enon community sponsor other scholarships. These scholarships are the responsibility of the individual donors, and the Church assumes no responsibility for funding these scholarships.

3 2015 SCHOLARSHIP PROCESS 1. The deadline for returning the completed application, required documentation, college transcript, and essay is Sunday, April 19, Read the criteria for this scholarship carefully. ALL SCHOLARSHIP APPLICANTS MUST SATISFY THE FOLLOWING REQUIREMENTS 3. *We must receive your official college transcript, including spring 2015 classes and grades. Your college registrar must mail your official transcript, in a sealed envelope, directly to the church. Remind them to put Scholarship Ministry on the envelope. NOTE: If your official transcript does not contain your spring 2015 grades at the time it is mailed from your institution, you may submit a copy of your spring 2015 grades, printed from your college website as soon as your semester grades are available. The website copied transcript must show your name, school name, college level and G.P.A. You must submit this application and all other required application data by the stated deadline to be considered for a scholarship you must forward your 2015 spring grades when they are available to you. You can either the spring 2015 grades to the scholarship ministry (scholarship@enontab.org) or place them in an envelope and mail to the church or deposit in the scholarship dropbox at the Enon East security station. The scholarship ministry needs to receive your spring 2015 transcript by May 18 th, You are advised to contact the scholarship ministry if you are not able to forward your spring grades by this date. 4. If you will begin your graduate/doctorate studies in the Fall of 2015, we must receive proof of enrollment in school and your major area of study. Submit a copy of your school s acceptance letter for Fall of 2015; the letter must state your field of study. 5. Enon church membership is a requirement Scholarships are for Enon members only. Student/applicant must be a member of ETBC for minimum of one (1) year as of September 1, 2015 (membership marked as the date of your baptism/right-hand of fellowship at Enon). You must provide your Enon Envelope Number on the application forms. NOTE: Some scholarships require longer periods of membership. 6. All scholarship applicants must provide a student resume along with the application and other required documentation as stated in the scholarship s criteria. Resume should include, with dates of involvement, the following: A. University/College with Major and G.P.A. for undergraduate/graduate school. B. Community Service during your college years provide written verification, if possible, on agency letterhead C. Employment D. Awards & honors 7. ESSAY- An essay is required to be considered for the scholarships. The essay must be typed. Each page of the essay must include your name, church envelope number and the name of the scholarship at the top of each page. 8. Please see the scholarship criteria for the age limits. 9. Scholarship recipients may be asked to participate in future Scholarship Ministry events and workshops.

If you have questions/concerns, contact the Enon Scholarship Ministry at X-3737 or us at 2015 MINIMUM GRADUATE and DOCTORAL STUDENT STANDARD CRITERIA Submit a completed application data form An official transcript from your undergraduate institution sent directly from the registrar s office of your undergraduate school to the Scholarship Ministry* Submit a resume ETBC member for a minimum of one (1) year as of September 1, 2015 *If Fall 2015 will be your first year in the doctorial/graduate school program, include your letter of acceptance into the school s program; letter must include your name and your field of study. If you will be continuing graduate/doctorate studies in fall 2015, submit your official graduate school transcript (in lieu of your undergraduate transcript), sent directly from the registrar s office to the Scholarship Ministry. Transcript must include your spring 2015 semester (or your most recent semester) grades. All applicants will be considered for all scholarships for which they satisfy the criteria, school level and field of concentration. This $2,500 non-renewable scholarship has been made available by Minister Dr. Nicole Matthews and will be awarded to an exceptional undergraduate/graduate female student pursuing a career in medicine or in the health sciences.* This scholarship celebrates one s commitment to the reconciliation and healing of souls for Christ through the practice of medicine and/or mental health treatment. Additionally, this scholarship applauds the academic diligence and success necessary to serve your community in this capacity. The recipient of the scholarship will be a full-time Medical School or Graduate school female student, 26 years old or younger, with documented community/volunteer service. To be considered for this scholarship, you must meet the following criteria: Minimum Graduate/Doctorate Student Standard Criteria Female ETBC member for a minimum of two (2) years as of September 1, 2015 Minimum academic GPA of 3.3 or better Proof of acceptance/enrollment in Medical School or Graduate program if Fall 2015 is your first year (acceptance letter must state your name and field of study) Letter of recommendation from a current advisor, mentor, professor, or practicing clinician in the field you are pursuing Documentation of 50 (or more) hours of community service/volunteer work completed during your undergraduate/graduate career. Please provide signed documents/letters, on official stationary, from the place(s) you served. Specific Essay: 1000 words or less essay that answers the following questions: In the words of a song by Patti LaBelle, "when you've been blessed... pass it on!" When you are blessed to practice in the position to which you aspire, how will you pass that blessing on? Describe your motivation or passion for wanting to give back in this way. Enon Ministry participation during your undergraduate/graduate career is preferred. Include 2-3 paragraphs describing your ministry activities, if applicable. * Health Sciences degree: Master of Science: Medicine/Physician Assistant Nursing (M.S.N.) 7 2015 GRADUATE/MASTERS LEVEL SCHOLARSHIP MABEL B GREGORY MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIP EDUCATION (Sponsored by Sister Cheryl LaMarr) New in 2015.This $1,000 non-renewable scholarship is in memory of my beloved friend and mother image, the late Mabel B. Gregory. The recipient is a female graduate school student who has earned a minimum G.P.A. of 3.0 and has been accepted as a graduate student, at an accredited institution majoring in Education. The recipient has experienced family, home, or life challenges during their primary education years (i.e. loss of parent, divorce, foster care, etc.) described in required Standardized Essay. To be considered for this scholarship, you must meet the following criteria: Minimum Graduate/Doctorate Student Standard Criteria Female Minimum GPA of 3.0 or more Standardized Essay includes why you chose Education as your major and how you plan to impact the lives of others. Also include in essay the challenge (family, home, life) you have experienced in your life. Regular attendance at a church while attending your undergraduate institution (please supply name and address of church) or letter, on church stationary, stating such. Education Major (*see and adhere to student standard criteria) Age must be 24 or younger NOTE: This scholarship is preferably for a Graduate School student; it can be awarded to a part-time Graduate student or a full-time undergraduate student. THE PSYCHOLOGY GRADUATE SCHOLARSHIP - PSYCHOLOGY (Sponsored by Dr. Arthur and Sister Claudene Evans) This $1,000 non-renewal scholarship is established to promote interest in graduate education in the area of psychology including, but not limited to, research, policy, clinical practice or academia. The award is available to a full-time student enrolled in an accredited graduate program in psychology or a graduating undergraduate senior who has been accepted into a graduate psychology program or an individual holding a bachelor s degree who has been accepted into a graduate psychology program. The applicant must be under the age of 30 and pursuing his/her first graduate degree. In addition to the scholarship funds, the recipient will also be eligible for a mentorship by a doctoral level psychologist. To be considered for this scholarship, you must: Minimum Graduate/Doctorate Student Standard Criteria Minimum academic GPA of 2.5 Must be preferably accepted or has applied to a graduate program in any area of psychology at the time of the award. The applicant may not have a graduate degree, but must be pursuing his/her first graduate degree. Submit an essay of 1-2 pages about your career goals. Essay will be judged on the clearly articulated goals that show how a graduate degree will help the student pursue his/her career goals, particularly those that contribute to improving the condition of society. NOTE: Doctoral programs preferred, but students attending master s level programs are also eligible.

POLITE MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIP HEALTH SCIENCES (Sponsored by The Polite Family) New in 2015.This $500 non-renewable scholarship has been made available by the family of Ethel M. Polite, who went home to be with our Lord and Savior Christ on December 18, Ethel M. Polite was a lifelong learner, who believed that knowledge is power and the key to success in life. This scholarship is awarded to a graduate student pursing a Masters degree in the health science field.
