Class Scheduling: We make every effort to schedule classes for your convenience, but if you see a class that you can t take because of the time or the date let us know. While it may not be possible to reschedule the class due to other constraints, it often can be moved around so please tell us what times would work and we may be able to help! Clubs Sew Days Join us Mondays for the fun! Bring your sewing projects and work on them with friends. Bring your own sewing machine or use one of ours for $10.00 per day. Give us a call to register. Time: 10:15 am 4:30 pm Day: Monday Cost: $5.00 per day Level: All Pfaff Club with Dona You re now the proud owner of a Pfaff sewing machine-come and learn all about it, try all the features, stitches, feet, etc. that come with your machine. Join these classes (series of 6) and we will take you through a variety of topics from the very basics to a more advanced level. Each class is designed to allow plenty of time for practicing a new foot, feature or technique as well as time to ask questions, make note of hints 1

2 and explore topics you would like to know more about. You will go home with the knowledge and confidence to get the most out of your machine. A relaxed atmosphere is the order of the day-there won t be a test! Time: 10 am to 12:30 pm Date: Wednesday Oct. 5, Nov. 9 & 30, 2017-TBA Cost: $15 per class Level: All Software Club Basic 6D Software with Dona Getting started with any new software can be intimidating. These sessions will teach you how to navigate, retrieve and file designs and some basic features of 6D Extra. If you have Premier Plus we may be able to arrange an alternate class. Either software adds a great functionality to modify and create designs with what you already have. You can t hurt it so come and play. Your comfort zone will grow. Time: 10 am to 12 pm Date: Oct. 15, Nov. 12, Dec. 3 Cost: $40 per day plus software Sewing Classes Mosaic Creation Thread Art Wall Hanging with Dona As a certified Sulky teacher I will show you how to create a simple yet effective wall hanging. What goes into this creation? Muslin, crayons, drawings, decorative thread and snippets. Come and learn this technique and have fun becoming an artiste. Time: 10 am to 1 pm Date: Thursday Nov. 24 Cost: $30 Level: Confident Beginner/Intermediate 2

3 Hand Appliqué with Brenda If you ve wanted to learn the techniques of traditional hand appliqué, this class is for you. You will create the centre appliqué block in this class and use it how you wish. This will open up many Baltimore projects, amongst others for you to make and complete. So join us for a day of fun and Hand Appliqué with Brenda. Time: 9:30 am to 4:00 pm Date: Wednesday Oct. 12 Cost: $50 Hand Quilting with Brenda Interested in hand quilting? Well it is our lucky day. Brenda has graciously accepted our invitation to teach this at Sew Inspired. This is the class to get you started. Join us to learn hand quilting techniques. You will make a preemie quilt top to bring to the class measuring 24 x 24 and Brenda will guide you from there. Time: 9:30 am 4:00 pm Date: Nov. 2 Cost: $50 Learn To Quilt with Nancy Have you always wanted to learn how to make a quilt we ll take all the mystery out of it for you when you join us to make Home is Where the Heart Is by Designs to Share With You. You ll learn all the basic techniques including rotary cutting and accurate piecing, appliqué and you ll finish a beautiful wall hanging. We ll also learn some basic quilting and binding. This lovely wall hanging will teach you all that you need to go on to do your next project all on your own. Please note that sewing at home will be necessary to make sure we finish this project! 3

4 Time: 1 pm to 4 pm Dates: Tuesday Sept. 27, Oct. 11, 25, Nov. 8, 22 Dec. 6, 20, Jan. 3, 2017 Cost: $95 plus pattern Rag Quilts with Nancy These are wonderful projects to make as gifts and take less time than more traditional quilts. This series of classes is also a good introduction to quilting, as you ll learn rotary cutting and basic machine appliqué techniques as well! We ll completely finish a beautiful lap sized quilt in your choice of flannel, and we ll also show you some options for changing the look of the standard pattern. Please note that sewing at home will be necessary to make sure we finish this project! Time: 1 pm to 3:30 pm Date: Tuesdays Oct. 18, Nov. 1, 15, 29, Dec. 13, Jan 10, 2017 Cost: $80 includes pattern Embroidery Classes Embroidered Mug Rugs with Dona You ve taken that giant leap and now own an embroidery machine. Don t really know how or where to start? Come and join us and learn all about the mechanics of computerized machine embroidery. This includes the mystery of downloading embroideries, stabilizers, needles, hooping and more. It is a great way to meet other fellow embroiderers. We ll be making easy Mug Rugs. And yes we have also been known to laugh on occasion.and occasions are many. 4

5 Time: 9:30 am to 3:30 pm Date: Sat. Sept. 24 Cost: $45 plus Embroidery Designs Embroidered Placemats or Table Runner with Dona Are you ready for a bit of a challenge? This embroidery design by Sweet Pea Designs is great fun to embroider. You will piece, applique, embroider all in the hoop. The colours for this project can go from conservative to wild. It is your choice. I believe you will find this project interesting and fun. We do endeavour to keep the atmosphere laid back and enjoyable. Time: 9:30 am to 2 pm Date: Sat. Nov. 19 Cost: $40 plus Embroidery Design Level: Experienced Beginner/Intermediate Try Before You Buy Machine Embroidery with Dona Machine embroidery can look intimidating and you may not be sure it s really something you d enjoy! So here s your chance to get a taste of machine embroidery on our Pfaff Embroidery machines. In this class we ll make a beautiful Mug Rug. Come and see for yourself how easy it really is and how versatile one machine can be. Space is limited so don t hesitate. Time: 10 am - 1 pm Date: Saturday Nov. 26 Cost: $25 including supplies (class charge will be refunded upon purchase of an embroidery machine) Level: All 5

6 Workshop Policies: Workshop fees are required upon registration in order to guarantee your spot. We count on your commitment when you pay for your class so we can pay our teachers, therefore we are unable to offer a refund should you choose to cancel. Should we cancel the class due to insufficient participation or other extenuating circumstances, your fees will be refunded or credited at your option in full. Supplies and kits are not included in the workshop fees unless otherwise indicated. Each class will have a list of required supplies and it is your responsibility to pick up the list prior to the class please ensure you read the list carefully and bring all required items. All workshop and kit fees are subject to HST. Classroom machines are available on a first come basis so please let us know at the time of registration should you wish a machine the use of machines are free when you register for one of our classes. As a registered student you will receive a 15% discount on all supplies purchased for your class, as well as a 15% discount on all purchases the day of your workshop please remind us at the cash. We will add any workshop for groups of four or more and we also offer private lessons at $30.00/hour please inquire at the shop. Thank you for supporting us with your fabric and supply purchases. It is only with your support that we are able to maintain low workshop fees. 6
