The DHCP product range covers a series of oxygenated solvents that can be applied in a wide range of formulated chemical products including inks, coatings, lubricants and industrial cleaners. 2 Product description COASOL is a mixture of refined Di-isobutyl esters of adipic acid, glutaric acid and succinic acid and is characterised by being of low odour and of low vapour pressure. 3 Applications of COASOL TM in coatings COASOL TM is used as coalescing agent in water based coatings. Characteristic criteria for the use of COASOL TM are: COASOL TM is used in floor lacquers, coatings for concrete surfaces and other coatings where high performance is needed. The amount used is normally 2 5 % of the binder calculated as solid. 4 Applicatio ns in the industrial cleaners & polymer industry COASOL TM is used as a low toxicity solvent in a range of industrial cleaner & polymer applications due to the following key properties: Dissolves most resins Blends with Hydrocarbons Blends with Terpenes and d-limonene Does not contain chlorinated compounds High solvency power for polar and non polar soils Non VOC COASO TM L is miscible with most commonly used solvents including: Alcohols Glycol Ethers Esters Terpenes Hydrocarbons Chlorinated Solvents Glycol Ether Acetates Ketones. COASOL TM can also be applied in emulsified products due to the good hydrolytic stability.
