Introduction Image Source; Kid Rex This is a koala it's there to represent the introduction this is my introduction about an animal you call a koala bear a koala bears real name is chancres a koala is a mammal just like us a koala bear,s diet is herbivore it's life span a is 10 years. They have only one new born baby and the type of newborn is live birth and the name of new born is called a Joey a male is called a buck and a female is called a doe. Something else I no about a koala is that they have sharp claws and they can clime up like a million feet tall

A Koalas Body Image Source: Kid Rex This is a koalas body I'm going to talk about a koalas Body this is a koalas body it has soft gray or brown fur on its back and white Fur on its belly it has round ears, long sharp curved claws. A full grown koala Is 25 to 70 inches (64 to 76)pounds (7 to 14)km it's length is 25 to 30 inches 64 to 70 cm. Koalas sleep 75./.of their day. Baby koalas or joeys starttheir lives totally free of fur. They actually don't develop any hair for Approx six months. Not only do newborn joeys do not have fur. They do not Have any vision either. Joey,s are not sophisticated at birthover half a year tucked inside of their mothers pouches nursing and growing always

The Relatives Image Source: Kid Rex This is a koalas relative. The koala bear is related to kangaroos because they both have pouches too carry their young. A baby koala is called a Joey koalas are related to wallabies and here's some facts about wallabies ok here I go much similar cousins of kangaroos, wallabies are found in Australia and it's surrounding islands. Each species of wallabies is named after it's habitat. These include the blush scrub and rock wallabies. The hare wallabies is so named because of its rabbit like Appearance and behavior. The whiptails wallabies is so named for its long. Slender tail the red necked wallabies is named for the red hued fur on the back of its neck.

Their Habitat Image Source:Kid Rex Here's a koalas habitat A koala lives in eucalyptus forest. They also are found is eastern Australia. Now I'm about to talk about a koalas habitat. Koalas like to live in scrubland eucalyptus trees According to the Santiago zoo websites animals bytes features. They generally op for Woodland and forest environment full trees particularly eucalyptus ones. Although Eucalyptus trees are certainly their dietary preference they also occasionally feed on Angophora Cory and postmen trees as we'll if a specific setting host any of these types Of trees a koala will probably be able to climb vary tall trees are stable.

Prays and Predator Image Source: Kid Rex This as a koalas pray and predator In Australia koalas that live in the wild have no natural predator,s they are in fact at the top of the food chain in their habitat. Large birds such as owls have been known to pray on baby koalas although such in for Maxine is scarce. By definition koalas eat only eucalyptus leaves they do not pray on other animals. Koalas live in eastern Australia where the eucalyptus trees they love are most plentiful in fact they rarely leave these trees and their sharp claws and opposable digits easily keep them aloft during the day they doze tucked into forks or nooks in the trees sleeping for up to 18 hours.

Author note Image Source: Kid Rex This is we're koalas live This is my authors note and I'm talking about were a koala lives as you look up at the top you should see a map can you find were a koala lives... I seen that a koala lives in Australia ok now you learned were a koala lives i hope you remember that because your teacher might ask we're does a koala live if you don't no we're a koala lives then try to find Australia that's were a koala lives so if you never can remember it then look at my book and you will no we're they live so that's were a koala lives.
