The requirements for the design of office workstations today are diverse and contradictory: they must facilitate communication and teamwork as well as enable concentrated individual work. Economic rationality demands the efficient use of space and streamlined work processes, however emotional qualities and an atmosphere of well-being are also important if the officeworker is to be productive. In response to this, Sedus has developed a new range for open-plan offices. It comprises tables, storage and communication components which can be freely combined to form any number of different office layouts. Each element in itself is perfect in terms of ergonomics and functionality. 5 Perfect unit for single-minded people: Sedus temptation twin. The double desk offers double the advantages. On the one hand, more efficiency; as a unit with one shared frame it allows for a wide variety of desk formations. On the other hand, it offers perfect ergonomics, as the frame leaves lots of leg room and the height of each desk can be adjusted separately a real innovation, even for those working at benches. Sedus temptation twin promotes communication but, when used in conjunction with the matching desk-mounted screens, also aids concentrated individual work as well. Incidentially, the double desk is also suitable for conventional cubicle offices and can be formally combined with all of the tables in the tried-and-tested Sedus temptation range. The temptation twin double workstations create clear, linear configurations thanks to their optical design and use of space, and also combine extremely versatile storage space with work surfaces. The desks can be arranged as a bench of any size or in a spine configuration. The unique new wiring concept takes the complication out of wiring all workstations, even in office spaces without a raised floor. Privacy. Desk-mounted screens provide visual and acoustic privacy, and are optionally available with soundabsorbent filling. Moreover, different heights can be set for each individual desk. Space-saving. Individual accessories can be mounted on the screen or a function bridge, leaving the desktop free of clutter. Variable legs. The rectangular legs are available in white or white aluminium. For a clean, more closed look, a panel can be mounted on the legs so that the end looks solid. 8/9

11 Space for fresh ideas. The temptation storage desk-side function modules play a key role in power and data networking. Cables are guided through storage elements level with the channels in the desk frame, which allows any number of workstations to be connected. In addition, they provide a generous amount of room for everything you need right there at your desk. However, these versatile units offer much, much more; they separate workstations and structure the office space; they provide seating for discussions at the workstation and thus promote communication; they can be covered with cushions or fitted with multifunction rails for organisation boxes and can also be combined with the complete Sedus grand slam storage range. At the workstation. The storage modules are equipped with sliding doors or drawers, with shelving also optionally available. The cables always run underneath the top. Useable on both sides. Office planning has never been so easy: in any and all rooms, each workstation is connected to the power and data network and has sufficient sockets, without having to include a raised floor or the position of cable ducts or floor boxes in the plan. 15 An innovative wiring concept that makes sense. Entirely new scope for space planning and a tidy impression are the main advantages of Sedus new wiring concept. The tables and storage modules do the job of a raised floor. The cable guidance is invisible and each workstation is supplied with all of the necessary connections, as well as sufficient sockets for chargers, lights and other accessories. Well-designed details make it possible for facility management to wire any conceivable workstation configuration quickly and easily. Wired up. Wiring several workstations arranged along one axis is no longer a problem thanks to the new Sedus concept: in principle, only one network connection at one point in the room is now required. This can be a floor box or a wall outlet. 14/15

16 Every workstation well connected. Key factors in maximizing planning flexibility are intelligent options for both collective wiring and individual wiring of each workstation. Collective wiring. The Sedus temptation twin double desk units are available with collective wiring, which facilitates cabling over several workstations. The cable guidance runs at leg height though a cable channel that folds on both sides. Cable guidance. From the floor to the table the cables are guided via cable vertebrae or leg covers. Cable dump. The optional cable dump folds down on both sides and is mounted just below the desktop. Individual wiring. For cable guidance at the individual workstation, there are a number of options to choose from. Sliding top. A locking mechanism guarantees secure closure and prevents accidental movement of the desktop. Cable outlets. The cable openings for the individual workstations are on the rear edge of the desk. Interconnector. When more than one double desk is combined, the cable channels are linked with interconnectors, which keep the cables concealed as they are guided. At the same time, this ensures the correct spacing for desks with motorized height adjustment. Variatons. Choose from elegant outlets with a diameter of 70 mm and a square cover or with a flap in different sizes.

17 Not a cable in sight. The wiring level of the tempation storage modules lies directly underneath the top, which push-fits into place, making it easy to open and access at any time. In terms of function and height, the power and data cables in storage units and desks are perfectly coordinated. Wiring level. For immediate access to the outlets, sockets can be incorporated into the tops plates. Under the raised top plate, there is plenty of storage space available for cables and junction boxes. Cable outlet. For wall connections or linking more than one module, the cables can be guided through an outlet at the end of the table. The continuous sections mean that cables can exit wherever you wish. Cable guidance in the storage unit. The cables can be guided internally through the sub-floor to the wiring level.
